Wow, I forgot I had these...

I took these on my first digital camera (a Polaroid 2.1MP!), aged 12, when I still lived on the boat. The watermark is incorrect - the water taxi pic was taken in November 05, off the Greek island of Hydra. We had a friend staying aboard, and so we talk the water taxi to a few bays down, and walked back. There are no cars on Hydra, to get around the island, locals use water taxis and donkeys.

This second pic, taken in September 05, is off the coast of Sicily. We met a very nice chap, Paolo, who grew vast amounts of vegetables, made his own wine, and generally enjoyed the good life. His daughter, Clara (pictured) came for an afternoon sail with us:

These images, taken from the same place, show the river in York last year when we had floods, and a week or two ago at its normal level.

Some say that he eats habanero chilli peppers dipped in oil of capsaicin for extra bite and that his pyjamas are made from Nomex. All we know is, he's called Ad the Bad

I took some at the start of the comp... intended to try again since I wasn't that happy with them, but time's running out so better post what I've got:

Water drop on an aloe leaf... acting as a lens so you can just about make out individual cells.

My house as viewed through another water drop. Just an experiment to see if I could get a useable image... the droplets fell off the end of the syringe annoyingly quickly and it was tricky to hold it in focus... had to prop my hand against a couple of bits of wood which is the reason for the dark sides. I was going to try again with the garden hose clamped in a workmate, but weather and free time didn't cooperate.

My 2 pictures worth, First one is Gardenston harbour NE Scotland, the other is at the beginning of "The Pass of the Cattle" on the West coast.
If you worried about falling off your bike, you'd never get on.
