Title: FZ1 Touring Screen
Post by: Fazian on 24 March 2020, 03:20:40 pm
Can anyone recommend a screen for the FZ1? I'm 6' 1" and would like to divert as much air around me as I can as I felt like I was going to get blown off the bike the other day.

Cheers  :)

Had a Fabri on mine (Gen 1) and didn’t like it at all. Diverted the air right under my chin and horrible buffeting. Standard screen moved air onto my chest which was much more comfortable. I’m 6ft.

Was it a Puig?

I chose a Puig on a forum members recommendation. Been on 2/3 years now, happy enough with it
They also do, or certainly did, a taller touring screen, but you wouldn't want it on all the time as they spoil the general look imo.

Not 100% sure, but think it was a Puig it was on the bike when I bought it.

Just bought a cheap DB off ebay for £17, not confident that it will be stable for that price but if it does the trick then I may get a Puig at a later date.

This was the item on ebay, it took about 4 weeks to arrive after telling me it was 4-5 days but I got it in the end. It's marginally better than the standard screen and looks quite a lot better and it's stable at speeds up to 90 as I haven't gone over that speed with it. The sellers comms was excellent and even refunded me when I didn't get it so I have to pay him now  :rolleyes
