Phoenix sub some of their larger jobs out to an ex mechanic who's gone on his own.
I think I'll do the job myself, looks like I'll need a torque wrench and chain tool, then I'll do almost any job myself.
Phoenix forgot to charge me for my mot and it passed with no advisories which I was chuffed with, the service is second to none also, I've bought all my odd bits from there, when my chain snapped I needed clutch rods, seals, gaskets and some fiddly bits, they were astonishingly willing to help, but slightly pricey on some things, main dealer prerogative I guess.
I don't like garages with reputations of bodge, I can bodge anything myself and if I couldn't I know someone who could, sod paying the going rate for a job to get a bodge.
Terrified of paying for the job to be done by a total bodge artist, I'd sooner do it myself over a whole weekend, save my cash and know that at least I don't have a handful of bolts left and the like..
Still looking for recommendations on chain tools that'll work for this type of chain, and now a reasonably priced torque wrench 1-30nm or more range also... Lol
Thanks
