Sorn'd it and took it off the road, still for sale but in no rush and probably keep it until spring and put it back up for sale then.

Shameless Xmas BUMP!!!!!!!!

29
Just bumping this up at £3,250 for the lot

30
Breaks my heart even more now that I'm thinking about breaking her down to sell off as a standard bike now.....and only a couple of hundred less

We all try and make these bikes handle and perform better, spending a shit load of money and time in the process, yet there is no monetary value only personal.....fucking real shame I tell ya.

This bike is worth £3k all day long with standard original rear shock, original exhaust, original master cylinder, original indicator lenses, no belly pan, no rear hugger, no chrome radiator guard, no chrome yolk cover, no chrome frame plugs and no crash bungs.

These bits will soon be up for sale separately

Cracking looking bike mate, shame your so far away I would be round to have a look for sure and Im looking for another gen 1. Have you had the bike from new?

I've had her for 3 glorious years and two owners.....never skipped a beat apart from a new servo motor.......better off hiring a van in this weather.....that's how I'm picking up my new bike......don't do winter or rain, done that in my youth when my bike was my only mode of transport.

For Sale & Wanted / Re: Wanted FZS 1000 Fazer low miles
« on: 29 November 2015, 11:01:56 am »
You'd be better trying to get one that's been well loved and looked after.......a low mileage model isn't always the best one to go for.....if it's a gen1 your after then its a minimum ten year old bike, and if you want one with 10k miles or less then it's less than 1k miles per year.....your maybe better trying to get one that has been running a bit more, well oiled and greased up internally......not one that has maybe been unused for some time with corrosion and seizing parts a possibility....exup valve for one.

I believe there is a stonking one for sale in Glasgow  ;)

34
It's the new 2016 model, pick it up in a couple of weeks.

35
It is the green and black one and far too good a price to ignore.....I know it will be down on power a bit but there are modifications can than increase it....Ivans ECU Flash and Power Commander.....can get an extra 26HP or 11hp with slip on......new project to fuck about with

Looks like I'm going down the Z1000sx route on a private sale. No rush to sell mine and may have to wait until the spring......or even keep it.

You'll be needing a gel seat soon mate...all the best in getting better

38
Looks like I'm buying privately and have a couple of bikes lined up......meaning my FZS1000 bike is now back available for sale......£3,250 would do it and that is a real foccin bargain for what it is.

Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / Re: Brake discs on FZ1

PFM Discs are awesome stopping, used in BSB and add a bit of bling.....I put them on my gen1 along with a Brembo Master Cylinder and Hel Lines.

Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / Re: woot woot.....................MT10 alert
« on: 17 November 2015, 03:31:04 pm »
Interesting.....very interesting......this could be the bike I've been waiting for.......wonder how long it will take them to get a fairing on it to compete with the Kawasaki Z1000sx and new Suzuki GSX-S1000f........got to say I'm fairly impressed

That's your second Fazer yeah????.....what master cylinder is that off

43
Still got it.....pondering my options.....GSX-S1000f quite small and compact.....Z1000sx is a bit bigger but not by much....While I fancy something a bit more modern with ABS, Traction Control, Slipper Clutch etc....and a bit more leg room.....being 6'3" and 16st there is not that much out there that offers sports bike like performance that is roomy, comfortable and some street cred to boot.

This could be worse that Noggy the Nogster new bike quest!!!!!

You need another 10 pages :lol

seriously though a triple seems like the best compromise..............the thou was a bit too much than I needed....too much weight, didn't need the crazy top end yet paid the price with weight, my twin has character and is cool but at times with overtakes it isn't quite enough..................Triples then would seem perfect although ive yet to try one

if you don't like Triumph Speed Triples then there is of course the Tracer as has been mentioned.....seems the natural way to go...high up, fairing, quick without being heavy...............but after such a bling gen 1 youd need to factor in a suspension upgrade for the Tracer straight away.

The Tracer is too adventure style for my liking....all my mates have Fireblades, S1000RR, ZZR14's and a very nice but tiny Panigale....so I need to keep up when the red mist and red line gauntlet gets thrown down.....my old Fazer does okay with the Ivans kit and the 15 tooth front sprocket but its the oldest and I want something a bit more modern while the wife approves the spend.....before she spends it on stupid Xmas pish.

What about a zx10???............you could probably even get a flat bar conversion......not as bloody mahoosive as the zzr....but they look reasonably roomy?

Too vibey and compact for my size.....I nearly bought a ZX12r a few years ago that had the flat bar conversion...so I could go for a ZZR14 or a Busa and do the same conversion.....but they are not as flickable

Dealers are such lying bastards......after nearly agreeing a deal on the new 2016 Z1000sx....I have now been told the trade in price of £3,635 was against a pre-registered 2015 model not for the new 2016 model.......so back to selling my FZS1000 privately now.....will listen to sensible offers.

See there's the catch the dealer had made your trade in look good by putting £1k on it,  all he was doing is mixing the figures around so you thought you was getting a good deal when in essence you was probably paying over the top for the pre-reg 15 model.

This is what £3800 buys. Low miles as well and minta then a mint thing .

Good luck

The original offer was the 2016 model with the slipper clutch......when I turned up to seal the deal he tried to pap me off with the pre reg 2015 model. I know how these things work with fudging the figures, as least the Suzuki deal was a genuine brand new unregistered bike.

There are many a newcomer coming on here asking advice on buying and even after buying a gen 1 asking about modifying their bikes.

You're right a good standard one will cost 2-2.5k and then spending on Ivan's jet kits at £300, rear shocks at around 400, end cans 2-300, hugger 100, belly pan 100.....spending well over £1200 before brake lines at 80, front shock internals 100. Many of you guys have even gone for R1 forks amongst many other additions too....never mind fitting costs

So I find it hard to believe on a Fazer enthusiasts forum that some on here are devaluing our bikes that have been well looked after...your own included.

Anyway it's a great time to buy from a dealer right now being end is season as I've now been offered £3,635 as they have now seen the bike and valued it as what I think it's worth.....now it's bite their hand off time

Take the dealers offer, as you won't get that price for it in a private sale at this time of year.

Not if Mick wants it
