The 1 limiting factor is the tyre, not the abs. To be fair, if you need to brake that hard at the apex on the road you have either royally ballsed your line up or are driving far to fast for the conditions.
I'm guessing that ktm have a sensor that knows how much lean you have and modulates the pressure accordingly, allowing you a god like ability to get away with stupidity.
Perhaps learning how to ride might be better!

Lets face it, that's the attitude car manufacturers have had for years. It's probably inevitable that bike firms would follow.

I reckon its potentially a good idea - most of the time it may be unnecessary (same could be said for standard ABS) but I think I'd go with the axiom of "I'd rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it"

I'm quite interested in the technology behind it more than anything else though

Ditto - but only because it turns the bike into a transformer-like thing of technology. Mmm, yes please!

In the car world you see idiots driving to the limit of the car in a xbox style hoping that technology will save them.
Now bikes have tc and abs and anti wheelie stuff.
Does it improve the experience or encourage you to ride beyond ypyr ability,  mr pedrosa.
So if a mtogp god can be usurped so easily by a tech ffailure;, then what chance do mere mortals have?

You make a good point but the technology is generally a positive step forwards for most people - if people want to ride beyond their means, no amount of technology is going to affect that decision and at the end of the day maybe its just natural selection at work?

Just more shit to go wrong, I learned that lesson the hard way by owning a buell... that thing had sensors everywhere... tilt sensors, o2 sensors, altitude sensors, snakes in the engine sensors.... all costs money in the end.
