M8 tap & socket-cap bolts use a non tapered tap with plenty of lube
Follow Pat's guide here (http://www.cartestsoftware.com/fz1/airinductionsystemremoval.html) & you wont go wrong

Thanks. How long do the bolts need to be?

Sorry to contradict but I strongly recommend an HSS tapered tap to cut the thread in the stubs.  You need to cut the thread to about 1cm depth only, so a tapered tap will give you all you need and more with much less chance of snagging while you're cutting the thread. :)

Iirc 1.25 is standard M8 pitch, but it doesn't matter really as long as you get the right pitch bolts to match :)
