Hi guys , yet again I find myself needing all of your advice. This morning when I went to start my fazer 1000 there was a back fire and vapour came out from under the seat, quickly took the seat off and lifted the tank and could not see anything out of the ordinary. I have recently given the bike a service and took it on 30 miles ride ( to squires and back ) for a test ride with no problems. Can anybody tell me why this has happended? will it be ok to keep riding it or is there something i need to look for. Again thanks for your help and advice I'm suppose to be going to the lakes today and don't know what to do, I have just started the bike again with no issues Thank you Crew t

Hi Guys Thanks for that I nipped to B & Q this morning and bought a metre length of 10ml clear tube , syphoned the remainder out of the reservoir no problems a lot easier. I would recommend this to anybody who wants to remove coolant from there reservoir. Many Thanks Crew

Hi Guys need your help once again , just servicing my fazer 1000 thought I would start with the coolant change as seems straight forward enough, removed coolant drain bolt drained coolant no problem. When it comes to the reservoir the Haynes manual states that's I either detach the over flow hose from the radiator filler neck and draw it out from the bike and placing it lower than the reservoir or remove the reservoir itself which looks time consuming. Anybody changed their coolant recently and come up with a different way ??? many thanks for your help Crewpack

Hi , hope someone can help My fzs is due for a coolant change , is there a certain type of coolant I should use. I have had a look on the halfords website where they recommend Halfords advance anti-freeze 5litre for £24.99 for the fazer. My partner rides a cbr600fx (98 registered) could I use the same coolant on both bikes does anybody know? Many Thanks

Hi Mark747eagle This site may help www.cmsnl.com if you search for your model it brings up a parts list and diagram, if you go down to steering there is a breakdown diagram. The cap bolts are listed as number 17 and looking at the price list its 2euros for 4 cap bolts. I have never used the site myself and I don't know what the postage will be. The only alternative I can think off is a breakers etc, hope this helps. Crew

Hi Guys , I have been a follower of the fazer owners club for a few yearsand was a member of the old club. I currently own a blue 2004 Fazer 1000 and there is no other bike that can take its place for me. So Hi to everyone.

Hi Guys Ive just recently purchased a givi e52 box and I am in the process of getting a givi rack for my fzs1000. I was going to purchase the M5 plate but I have also looked at the new M11 plate, has anybody already had experience of using the M11 plate ? if so is it just as easy to remove the topbox , is it anymore sturdy/secure , what does it look like on the bike. Many Thanks
