My local dealer seems to have closed...?? (Bristol, UK)

Greetings fellow foccers,
Iwas wondering if anyone knew anythign about Speedwell Motorcycles in Fishponds in Bristol.
I got my 99 FZS600 from them in April, I've been laid up since mid July from shoulder surgery, and now it seems they've shut. Website is down, phone number doesn't work.
I'll try and swing by this weekend tosee what's up with the actual shop, but does anyone know anything?
Failing that, anyone recommend a good place to go in/near Bristol to get any work I need done on the bike doing? Bad shoulders and lack of experience means I rely on garages a little more than i'd like just now.
Preferably in or near north Bristol.
Thanks

I think I've used them before, surprised to see them go if that's the case
As for getting work done, I always went to Morpheus Motorcycles on Two Mile Hill in Kingswood - both great blokes in there. Best memory was at like 9am dropping my bike round for its MOT, waited around while they did it and was offered coffee etc, the guy grabs his coffee mug and continues to pour himself a some before then reaching for a bottle of Jack Daniels and adding a not insignificant amount

I must have been really concentrating as it hasn't crossed my mind since. But now I'm reading this I recall I rode past there a couple of months ago and the shop was empty, closed down.

Apparently they just couldn't make it pay so have had to shut up shop.
Dave has gone it alone and his details are:
Dave Carter

I've just got these details from a friend and don't know anymore I'm afraid.
Hope it helps

They're not your side of Bristol but you could try JHS racing at the end of Keynsham bypass , they will fit tyres while u wait , for MOT I use Victor motorcycles on West street Bedminster .

A mate with an FZS600 recommended Kellaway Motorcycles, which is near me, so I'm sorted for garages. Main problem is Speedway was one of the best dealers to go looking for affordable motorbikes near me, what do I do for my next bike? A problem I'll solve assuming I survive this one, still need to get back in the saddle after myshoulder op.

I used Morpheus in Kingswood when i twisted my forks earlier this year in a minor accident. They were excellent. Saved me more than than a few hundred quid by welding my front fender and replacing the outer casings on the forks, instead of replacing it all. they quoted me £650 and ended up charging me £600, which was a pleasant surprise, as it's usually the other way around in my experience.
However it took them about 3 months when they originally quoted me around a month but I was in no rush and was happy to wait as i have a car.
Kellaway on the other hand quoted me twice as much and although i've used Kellaway for Mots and some minor repair work, they are definately not cheap and i'll not use them again or recommend them. I used them for 2 years.
I would use Morpheus again and I would recommend them but this comes with a warning that the work may take longer, depending on the work I suppose. I've not taken it in for Mot or service work, but definately would.
I live in Bedminster and have found a nice cheap garage called Victor motorcycles. I would recommend them.
Hope it helps. Let me know how you get on or if you need any info i can pass on.

Morpheus don't do the MOT's themselves, they run the bike up to a testing station that deals solely in MOT's and not in repairs
They are more than happy to give you a coffee and some biccies though ^^
Its only 2 or 3 guys if I remember correctly so larger projects may take them a while to complete unfortunately, but as you say, they do it for a fair price

Sounds like CMT at Coalpit Heath they do only MOT and no repair work as its a motorbike training centre.
I also take my bike straight to them as they will open on a Sunday
