Ah the joys of foc-u. :D   Point out a few facts and you get called every name under the sun. :lol

Here’s some more shit to cheer up you daft BREXITEERS; ;)

Yesterday the chancellor of the Exchequer in a speech delivered at DAVOS stated that there would only be "very modest" changes to relations between the EU and the UK after Brexit.   He praised a call by the CBI group of business leaders for Britain to have the “closest possible relationship between the EU and the UK post-Brexit.”

Meanwhile an ICM/Guardian survey finds that Britons favour a second referendum on the EU by a 16 point margin. :) :)

And here’s a final wee though for the anti-foreigner angry Brexit brigade.  It is well known that the older you are the more likely you are to favour or have voted for Brexit.  By the time we have actually BREXITED (that is making the big assumption that we actually do) enough older folks will have died off to suggest that a Brexit majority would no longer be possible. :thumbup

Anyway, VNA is off to dig oot his trusty flack jacket.  I anticipate mare name calling.

Let me put it this way, would you like the English government to be decided by the French?

So why would I want England to decide what government Scotland has.

VNA you have finally got it! Us British/English don't want  French, German, or any other European  country making our laws or telling  our elected government which ever party that might be what they can and can't do. Just the same as you don't want Scotland being ruled by a British government who's parliament building happens to be in London.

Umm no.  What the EU does is, work on and decide common standards and laws.  If you want to have a single market, all the advantages that go with it, then the reality is that you need common standards.  I don't have a problem with that - it's advantageous both economically and in terms of humanity plus good for our environment.

I don’t want to be ruled over by the English aristocracy, ie the Tory party.  I don’t want to be part of a country whose major export is arms and is active in fuelling conflict around the globe.  I don’t want to be part of a country that supports the apartheid state of Israel.  I don’t want to be part of a country that invests billions upon billions of pounds on illegal weapons of mass destruction.  I don’t want to be part of a country that doesn’t give a shit about ordinary people, no longer collects corporation tax and that thinks food banks are a welcome development.

And as for the EU, if the UK successfully leaves, the EU will remain to be our biggest trading partner, we will still need to abide by it’s rules (many of which are being adopted round the globe outside of the EU) but have no say in those rules and standards.

Of course, the laugh is that if the UK does successfully leave the EU, that may well bring about the end of the UK.

What I want is an Independent Scotland with full EU membership.  Scottish first, EU second and Britain no thanks.

But you want to be a subject in state that encourages other nations to join (Ukraine), then fucks off sharpish when the Russian Bear rattles its sabre, leaving hundreds dead along with its failed plan. And Germany and France arent too shy of selling weapons the world over are they.

I warned YamFazFan about waking VNA up from his hibernation! This is what happens when you do , he infests the forum like a virus and once started does not know when to shutup. Just like every pub has a pub bore he is the forum bore.

Please moderators can you make it a ruling that all political / religious debate is in separate threads and titled as such so that the subject is clear instead of them hijacking other threads.

Like most people I use this forum for motorcycle related subjects coupled with a bit a banter, and I have had enough of being preached at by political zealots.

Peugeot 1.3 diesel engine engine in a car, £30 a year road tax. Same engine in a van, £240 a year road tax, same as my Discovery 2 td5 2.5 litre diesel smoker. No logic, but still bought the van
