General / scottoiler leaking

I've got a scottoiler that leaks. It looks like it is leaking from the top part that rotates to adjust the flow. It sits on the bike almost vertically. It isn't leaking from the rubber plug that can be removed for filling purposes. Anyone know if they can be taken apart and fixed?

I can't find the company that makes the really tall screen for the gen 1. I think it's an american company? Anyone know the name.. or even better have one for sale

I spotted this on fleabay. The seller thinks it will fit the fazer 1000 gen 1. I don't know if it does, but luke will know

Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / 2002 R1 front end with standard wheel and calipers alignment issue

I noticed the calipers were slightly touching the discs when rotating the front wheel, so i swapped calipers with the other fazer in the garage which worked perfectly. Once i changed them over i got exactly the same issue and when i put what i thought were sticking on the other bike they work perfectly, so i want to know if there are meant to be thin spacers fitted when you fit standard wheel and discs onto a 2002 R1 front end... Also how do you know if they are sitting centre of the disc? Thoughts welcome

Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / How do i loosen the front sprocket nut

I have taken sprocket cover off and noticed the front sprocket is worn, so i thought i would replace it. I have put the bike in gear and applied the back brake. Using a 36mm socket and a long handled socket wrench i can't get it to budge. I have tried an impact driver with the socket also.. The bike has 43'000 miles and it's the original sprocket

Any good tips on getting the foccer off?

Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / Stuttering at 7000 rpm

I took the bike for a blast today and noticed when i snapped the throttle open the bike hesitated and wouldn't rev passed 7k i only tried it once as i was nearly home. I also noticed on same run earlier in the day that when i went to pull in and stop the bike hesitated again at low revs... I think i better change the plugs for starters and work from there. I have put some redex in the tank to possibly flush out gummed up fuel in the carbs. The bike had only done 800 miles in the last few years..

I got the new bike yesterday and the tacho was showing the 7000 exup fault... I stripped and cleaned the valve and then lubed with ceramic grease, it feels like it rotates absolutely fine. I then started the bike and it is again showing the 7000 rpm exup valve fault....

I noticed this gen 1 for sale. It is supposed to have only 6200 miles , but it's had eight owners and the seller seems to be going to extreme lengths to say the bike is legit... I also noticed the tank badge is not original...

What colour is this 2002 gen 1? Is it galaxy blue or deep purplish blue? I am considering buying a full fairing for it, but the colour is wrong, so i want to paint it the right colour.

Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / pressed the starter and nothing nada zip diddly squat!

Went to garage to take out newly acquired gen 1 and pressed the starter button..... Nothing

I kept hitting the button and once it went to spin the starter, but i didnt keep my finger on the button so it didnt fire. Never did it again!!! The neutral light doesn't dim when button pressed so there must be something in the starter circuit thats preventing power to the button. Any thoughts appreciated... I haven't even had the tank off the bike as it was running perfectly until now
