« on: 06 January 2013, 01:08:12 pm »
**Like of total duffist, I found this info in the service manual Doh!, still don't understand the Co adjustment though :) **

Folks,

was wondering arounf the net and came across this thought it maybe helpful I've listed mine below for a working FZ1s, you access them by

holding down Select +Reset buttons switch on the ignition, keep holding the buttons down till Di appears on the display, then hold down the buttons again for approx 2secs to access either Di or CO, there seems a bit of discussion regarding the CO values, and there significance,
Regarding the Di codes foes anybody know what the a faulty injector or coil pack will return ?

Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / FZ1s tuning bits and bobs
« on: 28 November 2012, 08:39:37 pm »
Folks,

Currently have a FZ1s that has, PC3, Ivans flies, BMC air filter, aftermarket pipe.

Now this is how I bought this beasty and it goes like shit aff a shuvval, but I'm a tinckerer at heart and was looking at putting it back to standard to see what it rides like, but I don't have the standard flies or filter soo

If I remove PC3 and pipe and stick on standard pipe, but leave the Ivan flies and BMC filter will the engine run too lean ? I get a fuzzy about this fuelling thing

Cheers
Roddy

For Sale & Wanted / **SOLD** AirMaster compressor and connectors
« on: 20 November 2012, 06:10:18 pm »
**MODS FEEL FREE TO DELETE THIS THREAD**

Folks,

Having a bit of a clear out of the garage,

This compressor was used to power the nail gun and various tools I used to build the extension, its not in prestine shape with some cosmetic damage, but all works been stored in a dry garage all its days but could do with a good overall to bring back to top performance

This has an oil filled style of compressor pump so is a lot quieter than the oil less variant with 25 litre air tank

***Collection only from Glasgow***

30ukp

AirMaster 8/40 compressor with a set of quick connections

Quick release connectors.

Shows the cosmetic damaged doesn't affect its operation

Folks,

got a FZ1s (2007 in case its relevant ?) that has a PC3 fitted in what I assume is the usual place under pillion seat in the wee doochit the tool kit would sit, however I miss this wee space to put things mainly puncture kit ( ;) noo that I've said it I'll need it next time I head out).

So is there somewhere else I can locate the PC3 I did think about at the front under a fairing panel, but from what I can see I don't think the cabling would be long enough, or they maybe interference issues with running the cabling over the engine ?

....Any ideas ??

NOw a question when I bought the bike it came with the PC fitted guys stated it had been setup on a dyno but I had my doubts, as it has a Duke map loaded onto it, which you can get freely but I've read mainy people all stating the samething if you don't want to damage your engine then get it setup on a dyno.......?

my question is if the PC plugs into the ECU and complements the factory fuelling, surely the PC can only add fuel at certain points and not subtract/limit fuel if this is the case then even if you don't setup the PC on a dyno you not cause harm as all the will happen is the engine will run rich or I have missed something, I understand a correctly setup PC done on a dyno will give the best performance.....

Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / FZ1s pillion setting for standard shock
« on: 18 June 2012, 01:41:05 pm »
Folks looking for a starting point here, I bought the fazer with the idea of inticing the good lady onto the back of it, since she wasn't a fan of the previous K12s.

I've got a descent setup for solo (all recorded on >>this<< handy wee doc I made up) but would appreciate what others settings are for 2 up riding no luggage or very little luggage, so I've a leg up on getting it tuned in

cheers
