I remember taking part in the NEC Cavalcade in 1995 where a large group of bikers met up at a park in Pebble Mill and were led across brum to the NEC all riders got a free ticket into the bike show, this was done on the opening Saturday of what is now Motorcycle live. Does it still happen ? if not when did it stop?

Took part in a cavalcade in the late 80s from Birmingham City Centre to the NEC & got free parking/admission. To my knowledge they havent run thisevent for a good many years. PebbleMill(Old ATV television studios) long gone-its the site of the new Dental Teaching Hospital.
On that occasion I was on a 1950 25cc Cyclemaster accompanied by a old geezer on a flat tank belt driven machine with no clutch-which made road junctions interesting to say the least! :lol

Correction-old BBC television studios. And it was 1985 the year i rode in the cavalcade.

Interesting Thanks Dave48 I was riding a 1968 Triumph Tiger 100 when I did it in 1995

Your having a laugh aren't ya. We should count ourselves lucky we still get to park out motorbikes there for free. If you rock up in the cage it's another £15 to park on top of the £20 to get in!!
Makes you laugh cause it's not as if you can park there and go for a stroll into Birmingham centre, your very much limited to the NEC
