like yamahas like touring ,live near Derby
Looking maybe to move from tdm 900 to fz1.
Need more power and hoping for advice on various 1 litre bike
(Used to have an fj1200!)

Welcome, you will find an FZ1 to be a totally different beast  to a TDM, but if you get one you won't regret it.

Can't help you much with FZ1 I am town commuter not touring guy, but I am sure you will like it.

Greetings, and welcome to the foc-ers!

TDM to fz1 is quite a switch! (had both)  Your gonna need a comfy saddle for touring, but a cracking bike for making quick progress.
The gen 1 Fazer is slightly better at touring, but the later model can still do it.
Loads of experience in here to help you with your quest.
Stop polishing it and ride the bloody thing!!

 :agree Welcome to the fold, stick up a picture when you have one. Since you had an FJ1200 the extra weight of the Fazer will not be a problem for you
