What companies are you with. I have 2 bikes to insure but locked in a garage at another address. I've tried Bennetts and I can't get a quote. Who are you with?

I thought I'd try something different. My first bike was a Honda XL250S back in 1981 and since then all my bikes have been road bikes. So I thought I'd maybe get this for new adventures

General / Re: Thinking of getting a Tenere 700 or a CB500x« on: 07 March 2021, 08:03:32 pm »
If I bought a CB500X I would invest into doing the full Rally Raid kit. The wire wheels and the new suspension. Not sure if it will then be nearly as tall as the Tenere. I think if the engine is as flat as a dart then the Tenere is the better option. Just want a freakin' test ride

Any of you lovely peeps have experience with either of these bikes. I'm a stumpy short arse so would probably have the T7 lowered. If I bought the Honda I would get Rally Raid to chuck everything they make at it. I plan on doing some off roading like the TET so want it to be able to haul my fat arse anywhere I want to go plus all my camping gear and stuff to be away from home for a month or more. Your thoughts and suggestions are most welcome?

Or a sad reflection of society today that someone who simply presents a tv programme is idolised to that extent. Darrsi makes sound point regarding the CPS Not forgetting CBBC when she was in her 20's 12

I drive my lorry up and down the M27 all day and see various signs on all day knowing the debris/Pedestrian/Queue is long gone. It's the same with those signs that light up with the message that there's something loose or an obstruction in the road ahead and warning you to slow down to 50mph. What pumps are people using. Or do most use gas canisters for pumping tyres up?

I suppose you could also use an engine flush to capture some of the possible sludge in the sump.
I'll leave that can of worms just here? Mickey 16

Hi Craig, they're yours for the taking. I must say first come first serve but I just want them to be used rather than scrapped. But I'll keep them to one side

Here's my winter and all year hack. This is the first year in 9 years I've not used it every day to commute. It does 5 or 6 track days a year and did 1800 miles to Scotland and the NC500 plus a little tour of Normandy, Simply brilliant

This is so sad. If she had just stayed and chatted to the Police this although a tragic accident would of probably ended up as community service at most. I very much doubt it would have been custodial as it was an accident. Her whole family must feel absolutely sickened by her actions. So very sad

Nice one Freck. I recently did the NC2000 (My version) and tried staying with a Russian on one and It was great fun. I'm just glad he took a different route after 15 miles as he didn't have a licence to lose

Nice one Unfazed. If i had that car I'd be replacing the knackered suspension because it should be able to handle anything, and that might help with the traction too. I'd love an afternoon on a TRX, lovely underrated little bikes.

I'm thinking of buying. Do any of you lot have one? Or any friends?
What do you think of them against the Goldwing or an RT? I'm vertically challenged and after sitting on a GTL it's the first bike since my old Honda VT500 that I've been able to get both feet flat on the floor. Mickey 25
