Hi all,
just got rid of my bmw gs 1150,always liked the fazer so looking at putting one in the garage.So just looking now to see what the collective has to say.Looking at 2000/2001 600 seen a tidy black and gold 16000miles unmolested £1700 original pipes look a little rough not holed just the finish .what should i be checking on

hi ....down pipes are made of crap metal  so be prepared to give then a bit of TLC with high temp paint and if not already fitted get a front fender extender to keep crap off pipes...... brakes will also need some TLC check pistons  move freely ....clean out crud a least twice a year and lube pistons with red rubber grease not copper grease apply that only to back of pads......front brakes are real stoppers when in full working order so dont be grabbing a big handful  or you might end up over the handlebars   .... watch out for speed  sensor in hub of front wheel they have a tendency to break if tyre fitters are a bit ham fisted. easily replaced..   check fuel tank for rust around the weld...apart from that supereb bikes
