Try swapping the coils. If the problem moves to 1 and 4 then you know for sure the coil is the problem

Do you mean leads from the plugs from the coil and swap over so 1 would be 2 2 would be 1  by leads only  :eek  sorry I confuse  :b

You'd have to completely disconnect both coils and swap them around. So disconnect them from the plugs and disconnect the wiring going into the coils. Take note where the wires go. Then swap the two coils and if the problem moves to 1 and 4 you know that the coil is the problem.

No problem. Well done. Hopefully it's sorted now. Anytime I've had low rpm stuttering that's cleared up higher up the rpm range it's been from arcing from the spark plug caps to the head. If your problem comes back try starting the bike in the dark and look for little sparks around the plug caps. These are a good replacement for the original caps and well worth getting even if there's no visible arcing because the original ones are getting fairly old now http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NGK-SD05F-Spark-Plug-Cap-Resistor-Cover-Black-8022-/271683682246?hash=item3f419bffc6:g:s4wAAOSwY45UR3BF

Thanks again for that link well I went out for long ride to the seaside (the chips were yum yum) back on track yes all the way there did not miss a beat run like a dream have my chips did I say there was nice ok jump on bike ride back home got to first roundabout drop down few gears when around it pull the throttle back yes it start to stuttering again got pass 3/4 thousand regs and it took off like a train again did that all the way home so I going to wait for dark have a look to see if the leads are acring and I think I will get new set as the bike 16 years old in sept it can't see any thing it might been acring inside the plugs? Then I might have to get new set off plugs as well
