Hi all
An Seat for sale - this has been modified by someone prior to me buying it. It is probably 1/2" lower than standard, some of the foam has been removed which has got rid of the angled edges of the original seat. Whoever did it made a good job of it.
Purchased for my wife to ride the Fazer, she never did, but I used the seat all the time as I found it more comfortable and preferred it to the standard.
£80 including postage
Best wishes

I will be putting my 2005 metallic red FZS1000 up for sale. I will post photos at some point, its needs a wash first. Posting to see if there is any interest from forum members before I advertise it elsewhere.AIS removed - Ivanised
- R6 shock
- Delkelvic end can
- Oxford heated grips
- Givi top box rack
- New Pyramid hugger fitted too.
Just had new Conti Road Attack 3 fitted this weekend, brake calipers cleaned and pots greased as I do at every tyre change. Mot until April next year but have no issue at all in putting a new one on for a buyer. Relatively new chain and sprockets at 24k. Exup valve is good and regularly greased. Valve clearances were done at 24k.Used, loved and fettled. 37k miles. Very sad to sell but I am falling over 3 bikes in the garage, a kayak and fishing gear, so something has to go! The bike is in Sussex, near Brighton Tim [cleaned up post - bkd]

Hi all,
I need a new hugger, th eexisting one on my 05 has cracked.
I have no idea who the manufacturer of it was. It is mounted with a moulded broad lip that sits on the cross-member of the swinging arm, it has an integral chainguard, which incorporates a mounted point.
Does any one have similiar?
Or a recommended manufacturer?

Hi
Can anyone recommend LED replacement lamp bulbs that are a straight swap for the filament type please?
I did ask before I know, old and senile. Any other suggestions gratefully received! ... other than Foxtrot Oscar

Hi all,
Mine is an 05 Ivanised and I have been using it regularly.
I have just done a 36k service and cleaned and stripped the EXUP. I noted that two faces of the EXUP (left half of the engine) were more sooty than the right. My exhaust is also quite sooty too. I have always balanced the carbs so I do not think is it as simple as just a balance. The plugs were not sooty but neither were they that nice grey/brown; more brown. As I did the plugs first, I did not take particular note if two were noteworthy!
I used a infra-red thermometer to measure the exhaust temps but I struggled to get a consistent position to be certain of my results but that also tends to suggest there is a difference in fuelling.
I have always had my suspicions that the bike bike runs a bit a rich and is not as sharp on throttle response as my first Gen 1 after is was Ivanised.
I know for certain my current bike was Ivanised by Mike (Falcon69) - I am hoping he will chip in with a response to this.
Thoughts please ?

Hi all
My son has just brought a 09 plate FZ1 and I have seen it today for the 1st time. 10k miles and very clean
The clutch action seems heavy and a bit sticky at the lever. Is that the norm or is there something amiss perhaps. I can't comment yet how it rides but will tomorrow!! (if he lets me have a go)

Hi all, I'm Timbo, usually on the Fazer 1000 forum !Opinions please. My wife to be is about to pass her test (she better had or else) would a Gen 2 FZ6 be new rider friendly? All things considered I think she will make a good rider in time so I would have thought she would be okay on one although I understand they are a bit frisky? Are there any major issues with them? Is there anything I need to know before I go looking for one? Thanks Bw

Hi all Am I imagining it or should the tacho flick to the red line when you first switch the ignition on??? I had a 7K rpm fault show up on Friday (just once), the EXUP is all lubed and checked but I am starting to think I have a duff servo motor. Before I go charging off now that route I would like a reality check. The bike actually runs alright but I do get a crackling noise from the servo and it does'nt seem to move at all when I switch the ignition on. Or am I just getting old and confused !!?

Hi All
Could someone please measure the width of the standard bars.
I have just replaced 758 with 754 but cannot decide if they look wider than the standard I remember on my old fazer 1000
Thanks

Having acquired my second Fazer 1000 from Mike B earlier in the year, I am amazed in the difference in handling over the stock bike. The back has been jacked up 15mm with a Hagon re-sprung standard shock and the rate of turn is fabulous. I thrashed it into work today on dry roads, I am still grinning nay laughing to my self quietly in the corner of the office. Wot a hoot If nothing else push the forks up through the yoke at least 10mm(?) I've one of Luke's R6 shocks to fit this weekend so it will be interesting to see how much more improvement that makes. But if your bike is still setup standard DO something about it. You won't regret it Have fun Bw

Hi all
Any recommends on end cans.
I have a Delkevic fitted at present but it run like a bag o shite with the baffle in.
I had a Quill T3 on my first Fazer 1000 but they upset recently so I am not so keen to go back to them. That said the T3 suited the Fazer very well and was road legal and I would rather be legal than not.
My current Fazer is Ivanised
Thoughts please

Hi all
Just a quick query.
I always stripped out and lubed my Exup valve but I confess I never removed the bush on the non-actuator side of the Exup valve.
Partly out of fear of coming up against a seized bolt but .........
being on the lookout for another Fazer 1000 .....yes I know, I should'nt have sold the original one.......and now looking at potentially un-loved Exup valves......am I right in believing the bush is simply mounted in the casting and bolted in?
Assuming the bolts have'nt seized should I be able to knock (gently) the bush out for inspection, clean and lube?
Thanks
