Just fitted the shock, it was really easy to do.
Drilled out the top to 12mm and with two 2mm spacers it fits perfect.
With the oem dogbones from a Yamaha bt1100 the rear is just 1.5cm higher so the rearwheel wont touch the ground when the bike is on the centrestand.
Haven't tried to ride it yet but am already a happy man.

This saturday i'm picking up the r6 shock, i know i have to drill out a hole to 12mm but i also need custom bushes? Do you know what size and shape they must be?
I'm from the Netherlands by the way but i'm sure i can find a guy here that can make them.

No it doesn't have to be an R6 or bmw shock, it's just that there's a lot of info to find about them. Not familliar with the brand you said.

The pictures are all i have for now, but it doesn't look like it.

If you installed it correctly, and your motor is in otherwise good condition with no exhaust, EXUP or ignition issues, those dyno numbers are probably incorrect.

Ivan spent a vast amount of time, effort and experience developing his kits.  You do not need to alter any of the jets or the needle installed height ... provided that you have fitted them correctly.

I assume you also modified the airbox lid properly, fitted a free-flow air filter and flowed the intake stubs.

What type of dyno was the operator using?  Also, the part-throttle pulls seem inconsistent between db killer in or out.

That said, the a/f ratio on the full throttle runs does indicate an overly-rich mixture in the mid-range area.  So, the question remains - do you trust the dyno and the operator, or do you trust the accuracy of your kit installation? 

FWIW, it is possible to confuse the main jets for the starter jets.  If you did this and fitted Ivan's smaller main jets in place of the starter jets, the original main jets (130/132.5) would be left in place and they are definitely not compatible with Ivan's needle profile.

The jets i pulled out are 2 130 and 2 132.5 so that should be fine.
I contacted Ivan and he doesn't thrust the dyno. I'm with Ivan because he explained how most dyno's measure te a/f ratio and how he disigned his kit.
I will double check myself and pull the carbs out to check if i did something wrong.
Im pretty accurate so i dont think i'll find anything wrong but just to be sure.
Did the airbox mod, flowed the intake stubs, got a pipercross airfilter, it still has the original seat so that should be fine.

Can it be that there is something blocking the holes i drilled when fitting ivan's jetkit?

Today was the day, after a couple of weeks waiting for parts it all came in last thursday. It took me two evenings to put it all back together and today i finally started it. There is only one thing that doesn't seem wright.
When the engine is running idle everything goes well butt when i rev it up a little to some 4000rpm and i close the throttle, the rpm's go down very slow. Almost like the throttle cable is stuck but it's not.
Also while riding i noticed that when i pull the clutch, the rpm's go up. I changed the idle a couple of times and that did help but after a while the same thing happened.


Before i fitted ivans full monty i did not have this problem.
Yes i've balanced the carbs an adjusted the tps.


Can anyone point me in a direction to look at.

Bought the bike with 80.000km or 50.000miles.
I've decided that i'm taking the cilinderhead off to drill out the snapped bolt and also to clean it. All this work and still not busy with solving the starting/driving issue.
Is there any way to set/control the timing if i mess it up? I now made sure that the cam lobes on cilinder one are pointing away from eachother.

I bought the bike with a leaking waterpump, there was no coolant in the oil and it started fine. I took it home on a trailer and replaced the water/oilpump. I noticed there was a lot of debris inside the gastank so i cleaned that out. After that i cleaned the carbs wich were pretty full of crap. After i've put it all together it ran great the first time i took it for a trip. After that it's been in the garage for 2 weeks and when i tried to start it then it was very hard to start but it started, i then made a trip of about 100km without issues. Parked it in the garage again and took it out a week later. Then at first the  engine would'nt start and gave a very loud bang. After a few try's it ran like nothing happened but as soon as i hit the gass it dies.
My guess was that the carbs were clogged, and i thougt that while i got the carb's out it's a good time to check the valve clearances. But then this happened.
