Fitted the tpms to the tft dash, didn't work at first , so read the instructions  and you have to switch the unit on then fit the senser.  Best to read first 😨

For Sale & Wanted / Re: Yamaha TDR250
« on: 27 March 2020, 10:32:16 am »
Dazza, just seen the post , yes ran my tdr for 2 years  , sold it a year or so ago and regretted it almost straight away,  it was reliable  and great fun , brakes need regular maintenance as do the power valves,  plenty of parts available , there is a forum also. If buying any old bikes like it, factor in a engine rebuild  if no proof of , and get ready to learn about wiring! ! Like most two strokes of that era prices are going stupid,  you can get a jap import for a couple of grand  but risky as will need going over .

« on: 03 December 2019, 01:44:49 pm »
I normally  reagrease  suspension , and clean brake pistons , but only done a thousand miles this year so will change oil and filter. Got to sort a electrical problem out, it has a drain somewhere  it will go from fully charged to flat in two days if I don't use it , it charges up fine when running battery is new , so should keep me busy over winter, my son has a derbi cross city 125 now so I'll be servicing that at some point,  it's his only form of transport for work and colledge so probably on a weekend feel sorry for the bike as it's has a hard life being ridden within a inch of its life 😨

Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / Tft dash
« on: 07 November 2019, 01:13:29 pm »
I also brought a tft dash , and can confirm it's a brilliant piece of kit, took 15 minutes to install plug and play. It's very clear  with plenty of options . I was having trouble reading the old clocks with the multi gauge so it's a great upgrade. Well built and simple to use , you don't need a degree in i.t to use it😊. Highly recommended.

Rode back from Scarborough. Started off in the rain. Tried to make a bit more of a ride out of it, as just A1'd it on the way up as time was tight. A few good B roads south of the A64, were quite enjoyable considering the wet conditions. The roads had dried out a bit before the Humber Bridge, and the temperature noticeably rose as we got south. One of my pals has recently moved to Norfolk, so in no time at all, he was peeling off east, as we went west to Peterborough and the A1 and boredom. A cross country whizz to Buntingford, livened things up a bit, before the M11/M25 superslabs got us back dahn sarf. Drying the tent out will be tomorrows first job.

A 507 by any chance, great road
