You ve seen where I work. Well no one wants to go abseiling in winter. This place closes so I have to head back down south. Nothing can stay here. Including the bike. So I rode it home, and it's going to be delivered back here in march. Dident see the point of it being here sooner.....because snow.

By open do you mean without gates or with a big open sign?

Europe is the plan. Either in the car with friends, or alone on the bike. Want to get to south of France as I used to live there. Head up the long way.

Get/convince your friends to buy fazers and then you can all bike it down  :lol
I've been trying, apparently cars are better for them  :rolleyes  But they do get jealous when i overtake them  :b

Cheers for all the feedback. it is true i have not reserched the rental part, have to talk to rental companies. i will check out all the places you have all suggested on the interwebs later. As far as roads go, although i originally wanted to go by bike, none of my friends ride, a trip like this would be to much alone... so car it is. As for sitting in traffic.. well ill make sure its my turn to sit in the back and admire the views/drink :D

We are flying to paris and renting a car (three of us) as my little petrol astra will ruin our wallets driving from scotland. Is there anywhere you would add if you could?
Cheers. :D

I havent had a day off since wednesday three weeks ago, have not got one...........for a long time. not for the rest of this month anyway. Oh the joy of 0 hour contracts and multiple jobs..... but double pay over christmas... :D

Thats what you get for being a youngster :b .........how would us middle aged or old bikers get by otherwise :lol

Mind you i do have much hate towards 0 hour working contracts......thats another thread though....not mine....
this 0 hour has not been too bad. I turn up every winter and the give me 4 to 8 hours a day, every day.... so it could be worse, just got to remember to fill in a timesheet each day. not hard considering i wont get paid otherwise :D

Glad your ok youngsterbiker :thumbup

But seriously, if you think your struggling to get a bike through the gap at that speed, what makes you think you'll get your car through there? :eek
Hopefully it wont happen again...... although this perticuler road is know for surprises....not quite like the a9 though :D It was a moment of lack of concentration on my part, i blame myself completely and now wonder why i did not look ahead.... and the car has a crumple zone, but i hope i will not us it.. :D

I'm gutted, I usually volunteer to work Christmas and Boxing day as I can't bloody stand it, hate it in fact.
This year though I'm going to be at home due to having an operation on the 14th that'll lay me low for a good few weeks.
Hope the operation goes well so you can enjoy christmas mate :)

Put air in tyres, then nearly crashed it on my way home. Doing 70 -80 mph on the a12, one moment of inatention, and suddenly stationary trafic ahead. locked up the rear but was not enough so i aimed for the middle of the cars and held on. must have got to the cars at about 50mph, bit fast for filtering i must say. anyway thankfully i survived and purchased a lotto ticket. (so nearly died and lost 2 quid) hopefully i will learn from this experience......by taking the car for a few days.. :/

I have my go pro on the side. I use it mainly for days out more than anything so I'm not really bothered about seeing the road on my right, it picks up the bike, the road, and the pretty views.
I dont really feel the wind, but maybe im not riding fast enough. haha

FZS600 Fazer / Re: Exhaust upgrades
« on: 24 October 2015, 09:21:55 am »
i have a black widow slip on exhaust i got off an ebay store. Its Loud! like... stupid loud with the baffle out it runs a little rough so needs a carb balence. baffle in its not to bad, and doesent give you a headache....
I know Sinto runs a scorpion that sounds nice and is not overly loud.
Suppose it depends on how loud you want and if you want to rebalence carbs / filter change.
