This is the Daddy! Stihl MS880 with 48" bar. 122cc and about 9bhp. Fully assembled, fueled and ready to go weighs in at around 15kg, which isn't really heavy until you stick it sideways into a tree trunk, then it wants a fight with you. It's bigger and nearly as heavy as me.

I also repair other arborist machinery... Ride on, self propelled and push mowers, strimmers, hedge cutters, cultivators, chippers etc.

No I am not a blood runner , I work 24/7 shifts for the National Blood Issuing Department in Cambridge. Still being shafted behind closed doors by this government but like many of my colleagues still dedicated to getting the blood to the patient ASAP. Hopefully we will not ever need it but if we do we will do our upmost to get it to everyone quickly.

Came back to the UK and fell into a job delivering brand new Aston Martins :eek
Left there to take a job as Sales Director for an avionics company providing dynamic operational meteorology :rolleyes
( all avionics foccers NB as I can still arrange demos, trials etc !!!!)
Now mainly a part time Lock Keeper ( cock leeper?) at Shepperton which pays foc-all except huge job satisfaction.
I have been lucky enough to never need to stick at any job which I didn't enjoy.

something different....iam a chairmaker living in britains furniture town ,high wycombe,traditional wooden framed chairs,since i left school in 79,used to make for the domestic market but moved to commercial/office furniture 16 yrs ago.....was earning good money years ago,not so good now as too many imports at a fraction of the price......14 years till i retire and i doubt if i`ll be in the same industry :\

So i kicks off..bla bla......gets a replacement.....replica iconic Poet Sofa.......2 months later......our pals are sat on it........foccin leg snaps off & they tumble onto the floor :( :( :( .........got my foccin money back....i sit on the floor now :b
You get what you pay for but some of this shit isnt that much cheaper considering the dramatic drop in quality

Unfazed..I see your a telecoms man.....if you ever worked for bt its a good bet you've sat on one of my chairs, hope its not one of the collapsing type...we did have a big problem with the chairs and a few years ago I visited all the bt sites in GB...one I remember was thurso on the north coast of scotland, iam in south bucks.all that way to repair 3 chairs, an hours work :eekNot for BT, with Eircom, but worked with them for many years in the eighties from across the pond in Dublin, all through the changes from Government owned to Privatisation. Trained a lot of BT staff over the years too. Most were all ways good for a laugh :)

Long unsociable hours,no days off including Saturdays and Sundays from July till February, can be hard graft.
Wouldn't swap it for anything.
I get to play with lots of equipment, night vision, thermal imaging, quads, argo cats etc.
Met a lot of nice people from successful business people, sports personalities, rock stars.
The picture shows a bit of my office :D
