FZ1 immobiliser problems
« on: 18 August 2013, 07:46:25 pm »
Guys, bought a 06 plate FZ1. Due to a cock up with the dealer there was only 1 black key and no red, so the dealer had the ecu reprogrammed, today it just refused to start, the red light flashing away, but a few hours later and all is well.

Any thoughts

Alot of starting problems seem to be flat battery, mine was sorted with a new battery. No problems simce.
Seems like the starter draws alot of the power and not enough left for the rest.

Thanks for that, but battery is fine, engine turns over no problem.
Anyone got any idea how the antenna? for the ECU connects or even where it is?

Its going to be very near the keyhole.
Wonder if its a loose connection somewhere if they've been stripping out the ECU?

All sorted. Down to a dealer mistake when fitting it.
