wait for it dark then spray some water over the ht leads and cap and see if you can see very small sparks if you do then you need to change them hopefully it will be the caps if not new or second hand set off coils

PR3s. Do they now make a PR4 for the front size?
No, not for the standard fazer sizing they don't!
PR2's were the last ones to have a 110!
Yup, they make a PR4 for the front. Blinding grip in the wet (currently fitted) but it's still the only front tyre I've ever managed to lock up in the feckin dry (on the Fazer) on more than one occasion   :groan
sorry the last are pr3

Pilot road 3 on the front  Pilot road 4 on the back as you can not get that size on the front in Pilot road 4 i have Pilot road 3 on my fazer 600 they last me 8,000 on the back front still have few miles left but i change them this year i got the Pilot road 4 on the back as they are saying 20% last longer then the 3 so i going to find that out they are best tyres i have own great in the wet and dry well sticker as hell

Do you mean leads from the plugs from the coil and swap over so 1 would be 2 2 would be 1  by leads only  :eek  sorry I confuse  :b

« on: 27 March 2014, 06:05:03 pm »
Hmmm.... A good question and one I have wondered about myself.

The law says that if you have HIDs fitted then you must have a self-levelling suspension of some sort and a headlamp cleaning system. This is definitely for cars, but I don't know if it applies to bikes too.

I'm guessing it does though as I can't find a manufacturer who fits them as standard. They shouldn't fail an MOT though as that checks that the lights work and the beam pattern is ok. The chances of getting in trouble with the law over them is negligible, but you never know what could happen with an insurance company should they have some sort of factor in an accident (and one of their standard questions is if you had your lights on).
we get this every year about hid I have hid kit on my fazer for last 3 years and guess what it pass the mot every time hid kit is best mod you can do for fazer as lights   shit

I didn't realise the headlights were so poor on the boxeye. HID,s are ok if you used the 4300k that's white. Most cars have 4300k from the factory Audi's BMW's etc
true but to have pure white is 6000k any more it will start to go to blue and it will fail the mot  ;)
