Farewell!!!

Well, after 16 years of FZS1000 ownership I have just sold the bike due to lack of use and the impending expansion of the ULEZ in London. I will be leaving the forum and wanted to say thanks for all the advice provided over the years in helping me look after the bike and to Mike for installing the Ivan's kit.

There was no need to sell the bike due to ULEZ, as the Nox level of a Gen 1 1000 is way below the 0.15 required by Khant. Just purchase a Coc(certificate of conformity) from Yamaha, around £70, send that off to TFL, and you’d have been sorted. Still, too late now

Lack of use was also a factor, I'd covered <200 miles in 3 years as I work from home since Covid.

Don't leave the forum just because you have sold the bike - you will be back at some point anyway when you realise your mistake
