Engine Water Seal issues.
« on: 09 October 2016, 08:05:03 pm »
Anyone ever replaced the o-rings that seal the Water hoses going into the engine head, the metal bits you bolt in...

I need to change mine, they are item 40 here : https://www.fowlersparts.co.uk/parts/4180115/fzs1000-fazer-5lvf-2003-130-b/water-pump

BUT i got them and they are much thinner, and smaller than the stock ones the part replaces, so much so they do not sit in the recess that is in the head...

They are orange as opposed to black, if anyone knows how to get them fitted it would be appreciated, else i am stumped...

I had my bike alll together today and turned over fine then boom, the seal went on one of these - did not replace when i was doing all the work so should have but reason above is why, just dont look any where near the same

pic on its way
