I'm leaving my Fazer at the airport for a couple of weeks but it has a datatool alarm fitted. Is it ok to put the alarm on service mode, disconnect the battery and reconnect when I get back(assuming my bike is still there lol) to avoid draining it? Datatool was on bike when I bought it which is a minus in my opinion. Thanks.

After years of riding I've finally managed to drop my bike. Careless slow U-turn. The Ebarrassment!! Anyway fairing cracked near indicator. Seen a lot worse but still annoying. Anybody got any good ideas on a patch-up job? Cheers.

There's sets of Goodridge front lines - stainless steel hoses and fittings for £46 inc. postage. The listing is misspelled FZS600 GOODRIGE. Seems like a good price for branded SS lines.

Yep, pain in the butt. If you can do without it don't bother.

They're fine. Had a set on two of my Fazers for tens of thousands of miles. Only thing is you will probably have to file just a little bit off your centrestand so that it goes back up fully when you push the bike off the stand. Easy enough though.

I've decided to revert back to standard can but the bore is too big to fit onto recently installed SS downpipes. Can I use heat resistant tape to wrap around the pipe at the back end of the downpipes so that the link pipe from the can fits properly? If not what can I use to create a decent seal between the two ends? Thanks.

Had a double bubble and the wind turbulance was worse with it fitted. Back to original. Yes, drink the £25. Much better idea!

Hi, has anyone any recommendations for a good battery charger? Been meaning to get one for ages but there are so many out there it's a minefield. No doubt some are good and some are crap. Thanks, David.

This is just a possibility. I had squeal from the front a while ago and noticed that one of the silver springy things(no idea what these are called??) on the top of the caliper where the pad retaining pin goes thru was on the wrong way round. Also the spacer on the front axle was back to front. Squealing stopped when these were corrected. It's just a shot in the dark really but worth a check.

Yes, I get the maths. 5/8 mile(1km) should take 5/8 minute(37.5secs) at a true 60mph. Got maths 'O' Level back when the dinosaurs and Honda's Plastic Maggots roamed the Earth. Took the wheels off my old Fazer and put them on this one. I noticed both bikes have the newer speedo rotor that the lugs don't break off when you breathe on them so its not that. Might try putting little stickers or something on the speedo dial to indicate 30, 40, 50 and 70mph. Thanks again for your replies. Cheers, David.

Thanks for the replies. It has mph in bigger writing and kph in smaller. At least someone else has had this so its just a matter of getting used to the wonky reading. The rev counter is same as usual at least. Bike is going well and its only a minor annoyance really. Cheers.
