Red boxeye with HIDs on the Switchback Bearsden with a white Honda NC? Bet you were heading out the Stockiemuir Colin.

Yep that was me and the mate on his crossrunner, we were heading up to Callander and back via the Dukes Pass http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php/topic,6412.6230.html Reply #6239
Cracking night for it Colin! BTW I have sold the foxeye to a young lad who is going through his test. He lives in our shire and is keen to become a Foccer. So if you see a silly looking ex-foccer on a yella 1150GS waving like a loony it'll be me. Didn't think I could go to the dark side but have, for now anyway.... Cheers, Bob

I paid £286 for mine delivered so that Ebay deal is a steal and they are the correct pipes with the balance tubes. A tad pissed off that they are now flogging them for £100 less than I paid!
Anutz, I eventually got mine off without taking the head off but it was several hours (circa 20!) of jerking about with extension drills and a Dremmel to get the sheared stud out and helicoiled. All good in the end and the new SS doonpips look the nuts.

I've been looking at the ctw scheme but think I might just buy a bike outright. Still not sure what to buy, I'm looking for a hybrid type. Man at work tells me to buy a giant as they're good value. Any suggestions I'm thinking of spending £500 ish. Cheers.
Giant's a great brand, I've had the defy before with no hassles, but sometimes your best just going into your local shop and not worry about name, it's more of a 'feel' thing, you'll probably sit on a bike you've never heard of but it feels right for you I done the same and now wanting a NORCO, never heard of them before I went to the shop but it 'feels' right for me It's a cyclecross but would depend what sort of biking your wanting to do
Norco is a good enough make for mountain bikes Sinto but not sure on cyclocross. Some say they are underspecced for the money. Can't comment on the CTW scheme as haggled with Hafrauds on one of their offer weekends and got 20% off total on a Voodoo Bizango 29er mountain bike. Great bike for the money, just a shame their sole distributor in the UK is Halfrauds. Had a Giant XTC before it got stolen and it was a quality bike. Best bet is to trawl the cycling forums for info.

Could meet at mcds Anniesland back of 8 for a double sausage n egg mcmuffin then up to dunglass for 8:45ish. Just because youngsterbiker is an insomniac doesnt mean we have to kick off quite so early

How about us Glasgow Boys head out via Stockiemuir, Drymen, Gargunnock, Stirling services for meet up then do Doune, Callander, Strathyre, Lochearnhead, Crieff and back to Stirling services then home? About 150 miles and under 4 hours in the saddle.

As much as i appreciate the amount of work and money you have spent on it, there's not enough life left in at 190k miles for my liking.
