Inspected the spark plugs. They are wet because I blasted them with plus gas.

Went to get a PR3 fitted on the front and to find the cheapest 10/40 oil money could buy which was Triple QX£13.51 5L.

Changed the 4K old castrol GTX and oil filter.

Shat myself. That's what I did with my Fazer today.  :rolleyes

Today, a full 7 months after I fucked my knee up, I started commuting on the bike again and found I've totally lost my confidence.
To be fair I've only ridden it on the road twice since April, and that was last month to the MoT place. Got an advisory on my rear tyre so got that replaced last Friday, just in time for the really pissy weather to hit us.
So today, with strong winds, heavy rain and a tyre that's being scrubbed in it's no wonder I was riding gingerly, but still, I felt like it was the first day of my Direct Access all over again.
I only passed my test 2 1/2 years ago so 7 months off the bike is a big chunk of time.

Question is, do I stick with it over winter, or pack it in until the spring and start over when the drier weather arrives?

Finally managed to source a belly pan at the right price, was going to paint it yellow but will see how it looks on the bike in black first.

Put air in tyres, then nearly crashed it on my way home. Doing 70 -80 mph on the a12, one moment of inatention, and suddenly stationary trafic ahead. locked up the rear but was not enough so i aimed for the middle of the cars and held on. must have got to the cars at about 50mph, bit fast for filtering i must say. anyway thankfully i survived and purchased a lotto ticket. (so nearly died and lost 2 quid) hopefully i will learn from this experience......by taking the car for a few days.. :/

But seriously, if you think your struggling to get a bike through the gap at that speed, what makes you think you'll get your car through there? :eek

Fella you talked about  "lost my confidence" -------- next you are doing 80 on busy, wet/damp (just guessing) roads. Got to say - never mind yourself --you are scaring me !

Different bloke. It was me that's lost my confidence, but reading that, fuck me it could have been worse!  :lol

And you're bang on Downey, I was filtering through a mile of stationary traffic today thinking, yeah that's why I ride!

Sorry to you both I got confused -------- it was because it was the first post on a new page so I did not directly have the other name to see, and also the bit about putting in air in the tyres correlated with youngster fitting a new one.
Thats what I am saying anyway- sounds convincing to me and I am sticking with it

I had a set of 023's fitted today. On the ride home from the fitters it gently drizzled. Just what I needed with some new slippery tyres
Sent from my villa in the South of France.

Cleaned and ACF'd it.

Changed a bulb.

I wanted to fit the scottoiler as well today but the wind picked up and started blowing everything around which was irritating so I didn't bother. I did fit the sticker though.

Charged the battery on gen 1 no1, sprayed gen 1 no 2 with copious amounts of fs465. It doesn't get acf 50 like my minters as its not exactly mint ;)

Took my knackered front discs off, now got fresh ones and King of bling stainless bolts...
Intentionally left blank
