fitted top box and panniers. Drilled a hole in the number plate so it could fit better. test rode with panniers. zip tied the number plate as i don't trust the plastic nut and bolt.

Left it in the garage as it was peeing it down this morning :(
But on a brighter note....
I ordered my new seat a few days ago, and was delivered to my work today so I duly got home and put it on.
I'm very pleased with it :)

Rode 300 mile round trip to RaceLab in Wimborne (well, yesterday actually) to have my suspension set up properly. Wow, what a difference. It's a completely different bike. The settings were way out even though Nitron had already set the rear shock up for my weight. I've forgotten the guy's name who did it for me but can't recommend him highly enough. He's very knowledgable and a perfectionist. He wants everything spot on. He also explains what he is doing and why he is doing it, constantly. I would definitely use them again. Undoubtedly the best £99 I have ever spent on the bike. I am well pleased. Can't wait to get out on it again.
I could change my opinion, but then we'd both be wrong.

Hi Grayo. The guy at Racelab is called Paul and he has set up my Fazer too plus a couple of previous bikes. He is really good and very thorough and as you say, he keeps you advised as he works. Thoroughly recommend him. But more convenient for me as he is only 5 miles from home for me.

There was a problem before I'm sure that someone's pics were loaded up differently and think it was a bug :(
Took another couple of pics with phone, vertical and horizontal, will see how they load :)

Just returned from a 135 mile spin to Castlewood Cafe, Uttoxeter and back, from Wrexham. I went there to escape from the holiday traffic in North Wales. Very quiet in comparison and lots of fellow bikers at the cafe. An enjoyable outing.

Quick runout to Malham via Arncliffe, gravel on road in places made it a bit interesting at times.
Got home and decided to remove front sprocket cover and give it a bit of a clean up before the grandkids descended on us.
Front sprocket was not as bunged up with crap as I thought it would be, most of it had collected at bottom of sprocket cover, quite a few small stones stuck in the crap as well.

Changed the oil and filter on the 1000
and
3 sets of down pipes and one year later, I finally put the 600 back on the road today.

Must balance the carbs, adjust the suspension and recheck all the downpipe nuts and bolts tomorrow. Had forgotten the lovely roar from the intake when accelerating in 2nd and 3rd.
It felt so light and nimble after using the 1000 only for a year.

I must say Motad are a pleasure to deal with compared to Delkevic.
The delkevic pipes would not fit as they were off by about 20mm at the rear bracket and when I complained to Delkevic, they sent another set and took the first set back be return. Second set were actually worse than the first set. Definitely a misaligned jig in their workshop and when I contacted them again with the same issue, they told me I was not capable of fitting a set of downpipes,  :eek to which I replied "That's because you are not capable of making a set which would fit. I Returned the pipes and in no uncertain terms told them how much I admired their customer support and assistance  :lol

I ordered a set of Motads from Intobikes as they were the cheapest and they fitted perfectly, everything lined up like the originals. unfortunately the no 4 pipe would not seal and  I wrote to Motad. They asked me to remove the pipes and do a few checks. I did and found the no, 4 pipe was to far misaligned to be pulled by the 6 mm bolts (I think we all know how easy these are to break) They checked my order from Intobikes and a new set arrived 2 weeks later and told me not to return the the first set until I was happy. In the meantime I asked if a friend who owns a stainless fabrication company to look at the pipes. They agreed and  my friend made up a jig to pull the pipe straight. Put those on the bike today. :thumbup

I will try and get a deal on the second set and keep them for my sons fazer.

 :thumbup   to Motads customer service
