Cracking post mate , love that Big finned black thing is that a Chevie? I had one of those a few years back, but it was made by Corgi !!!!, Last time I was in a Lincoln Town Car it cost me $15,000 , Florida holiday and ending up buying a fecking timeshare. I love american cars, I know they are crap but!!!!!!! just something about them I like.

I mean "saw it" because i lost control of the shed, work kit and rubbish took over my life on the run up to Christmas,it filled the shed,no time, too much work,

So now  get all invoices up together, and clean shed and clean bike,,,ahhh Karma will return level :)

Today I modified my seat to give me an extra 2.5" of legroom.

Took two scrap seats, stripped the foam off one and cut it in half, then glued the pillion half foam to the front half of the other seat.
Covered the lot in some carpet underlay, then stapled a load of vinyl over the lot.
Granted, the seat looks like John Prescott's chin but it does work and the bike's so much more comfortable now.

Just a quick blat down to H's cafe. It was sunny when I headed off, but the cloud started arriving pretty much as soon as I got there so had a quick cuppa and butty, and headed back again.

Had some fun pinning the throttle wide open today, as something someone said to me made me realise that few of us ever actually do this; I mean, actually full on, right to the stop, and not just on big, long, straight, dual carriageways, but on winding A roads too, any chance you get. No, I'm not recommending it, but yeefoccinhaaaa, t'was fun!  :evil  Better get spending this money I've got, cos I don't reckon I'll be around much longer at this rate :lol

But foc me, if there weren't 4 (yes, count them, one, two, three, foccin four!) Street Triples there today! Plus, saw another in Abingdon on the way down. Some might decide on that basis that they're too common to want one, but it just makes me think "well, they must be pretty good if they're that popular!"

Went out for a long run from Coventry, taking a route up to Rutland Water then Burton On Trent, and back home along the whole length of the A444.

Long enough for any problems with my seat to surface, and the only issue being more of my weight is on my arms. Maybe some bar risers are needed.

went and bought a new cover and then put some fresh ACF50 on and covered it again.

My Oxford "Rainex" cover ripped clean in two during our recent hurricane-like winds (lucky the bike stayed upright). Stumped up the extra for the "Stormex" cover. seems a good bit more solid :)

Baldock for a blast up A507

Tis a nice road, that one. I do miss the roads around Essex and Hertfordshire: Baldock, Dunmow, Finchingfield etc. Even Gravel Lane and the road through Theydon Bois and up to Epping Forest, with, of course, High Beach to stop for tea and bacon butties, and a chat with friends. There doesn't seem to be much to compare around here in Oxfordshire, have to go a bit further afield for good ones. H's cafe isn't a patch on High Beach, even though it's a proper cafe. Maybe it's because I don't know anyone there. But it was so easy to get chatting to folks at the Beach, seemingly not so at H's. Looking forward to Carlisle, and a mix of city and countryside again.

Finished the shelter for the Fazer, the yard is pretty sheltered from the worst of any big winds, so im confident it'll be dry and windproof !! ( famous last words )
