Servo is sticking.... It's happened before and gave it a dousing of lub, it may better replacing it but they're expensive

I had the same problem, drove me to distraction.  :'( Took it apart completely, everything moving freely, motor spinning freely when connected, put it back together same Foccing problem.  :rolleyes At that time the secondhand one arrived and I put the old one aside in a box waiting to be looked at again. The part which controls the motor was causing problem, but have not figured out why yet.

There are plenty on Ebay.com. I bought one from one of the fellows on her, but bought another for a friend from the States with cables for $50 incl postage. Postage was 3 times the price of the servo but much cheaper than a new one.

One on ebay uk at the moment for £65

Yeah I've been looking on eBay, but like you worried it's something else and I've wasted £65 and I've still got the problem.

If the EXUP valve is moving freely and cables are moving freely then your next option is to remove the motor and check it.
I had the EXUP valve in and out about 5 times before I decided to check the motor.
Take out the motor
Hold the rear of the motor in one hand and try and turn the pulley wheel with the other hand.
It should turn freely with just a little resistance (a large gear turning a small gear through a series of gears).
If it needs a lot of force to turn it in either direction its focced. :'(

Yesterday I had a ride out to celebrate one year of Fazer ownership.  :D
One whole year since I picked up my first big bike from a Honda dealer with a fresh mot and a new licence!

Then realised that it was one year and one week since I bought it with a fresh mot and a new licence, so put it back in the garage and booked an mot.  :o

Oops.

Ballistic ride to Loomies and back.

As it's Father's Day and the Fazer 1000 and my RSV are both in a mates garage for MOT tomorrow, my son Ryan let me ride his Fazer 600, with him as pillion.

We did around 120 miles, stopping off at Leicester Airfield for a cuppa and then at the 1940's replica Cafe (and army surplus store) in Lutterworth, for lunch and a look round.

Great roads, great son for company, great little bike - all in all an awesome Fathers Day.

Rode it to Falmouth and back, 267 miles in all, and discovered I need to get a bigger screen to fend off the wind blast. Don't 'spose being 6'5" helps much.

Went for a dash down to Lynton, via Minehead and Porlock, to see how much of a difference doing airbox mod, decat and PCV had made (all done yesterday).  Running the HM Racing Map - Awesome a ton more midrange.

Took both wheels out ready for new tyres. Then thought I'd  just clean the forks then stripped and greased one brake caliper just leaving one left to do when I refit the wheels.

Just removed front and rear wheels for tyre change.
On inspection brake pads are good so won't bother fitting the new set which came today but I may strip and clean the callipers, as Andy above ;)

Loaded a new PC3 map ,thanks Stevierst for emailing it to me,,

I already had an upgraded one that came with the secondhand PC3 but wanted to make sure i had one to match the mods carried out.

So went for a blast,,seems the same as before, which is good because it was brill before.

On the private road drag strip,,you cruise around a small roundabout then yee haaaaa!!!! :eek ,,hang on

Then see whats on the speedo by the last tree,,,today =123mph,, :)

Fastest i have done there is 135mph on a Kwak ZXR 750h1

On the way back from a friends mothers funeral I dropped in to our West Cork bikers cafe the "Motorcycle Grill" in the little village of Leap for coffee and a natter as I had not been down that way for over 2 months.
Great place to eat if you ever venture west Cork way. :)

Funny about the speedo, mine has started jumping above 50mph. Going to check sender on Thursday. Has anyone any other suggestions?
