Got my bike back from it's 40k mile service today, major service plus two new tyres so I'm £500 lighter. Ouch.

Plus I'm scrubbing them in in the pissing rain.  :rolleyes

Been riding a courtesy XJ6 the past two days, thoroughly uninspiring bike.

Broken, bruised, forgotten, sore,
too fucked up to care any more.

260 miles following the route of tour de France from York to Skipton aysgarth hawes over buttertubs pass to reeth leyburn and Ripon then home to Yorkshire coast.

I went to Aysgarth falls once, it was beautiful.
Aysgarth Falls was where Robin Hood (with Kevin Costner) was filmed fighting in the waterfall...lovely spot.
My Dad was the Swordmaster on that there film.

My 3rd MOT with this bike, and the 3rd time it's passed first time without any advisory notes!

I love this bike! :D

Very nice Mick 8) , that looks as cool as an Akra imo...no doubt for a fraction of the cost.

Makes such a difference to the look of the bike.

What did I do with my fazer today? Fell in love with it all over again. Even in the wind and wet that bike is just so much fun and then some..

Took wife's Fazer 1000 into a mates garage for it's MOT (she broke 2 toes last week) got picked up my son and then took in my RSV - both still have a couple of weeks left so have them there to fit in as he's got time.

Cleaned son's Fox-eye 600 and now settling down with a Belgian Cherry Beer.

Oil, coolant and tyre pressures checked on 1000 for tomorrows 120 mile charity run.
Wifes gone to bed, settling down to watch the WSBK superpole with a drop (Large) of Jameson and if my mobile rings they can  :foc

ChristoT - 'Twas a very good day indeed.

Noggy - she broke her toe (2 broken actually) while knitting - bloody dangerous hobby that - she jumped up to answer the phone and stepped over the abacus she had in the middle of the floor (uses it to keep track of her lines), stepped a bit too far as she started to lose balance and basically kicked the hard square corner of the sofa leg.

Also Noggy you've got the beer spot on, it is indeed the Bacchus cherry. :thumbup

After reading about all the foccers above breaking things...body and bike.......i decided to check if the noggythou was still working....plus it needed fuel.....so i did 50 miles round the hills :) .

Was a bit windy...crosswinds blowing me about.....exhaust makes some lovely pops when slowing down using engine braking......taking a while to get used to the extra weight ...i feel if i leave turning in too late then it might fire me out onto the ditch so i am maybe turning in a bit too early....all good practice & ill get there in time...and i feel slow but when i look at the speedo im going faster than i think.

The roads eventually dried out and the sun came out , so went out on the bike past Longleat via Chewvalley lake , Chelvey Bridge , Newton st Loe , Radstock , Frome, and back home via Bath , did about 80 miles , it was  bloody  windy .
