Front wheel rim stickers...

Ooo I like them

Ditto!

I'll have to put those on the VFR wheel to confuse the shit out of people!  :lol :lol
Why, do you get much traffic through your bedroom/project work centre?
Coz they sure won't be seeing them on any PICS  ;)

I just uploaded some more, you muppet!  :lol :lol

Changed the air filter :)

Ok, that may be "big whoop!" from some of you, but it's the first real "get the top off and do something" I've actually done on the bike instead of taking it to a stealer.

I was going to do an oil and filter change too, but whilst looking at the details online and in the Haynes Book I realised I might need a new sealing washer for the plug and I didn't have one, so can someone please let me know what I'll need and where I can get one?

Nice one graham

If i can do it then so can anyone.....not sure about the washer....they are called crush washers....quite thick but lighweight & of course crush up on tightening to give a good seal...i should think a decent hardware shop, a locally tylpe one should have them or of course a stealer can charge a fortune.

Yeah, I'm pretty good at conveniently "forgetting" to buy replacement crush washers. Be this for the sump plug, banjo bolts on brake lines, or just about any other bolt I undo... so far no issues... but most of them haven't been in an atrocious state. The worst I've noted came from my sisters brake calipers on her car but they appear to be holding still...

Edit: I am in no way suggesting you shouldn't replace them  :lol

Just found one on eBay for £1.69 plus £1.10 P&P, so ordered it :thumbup

Waiting for my new Renthal 755's for the GenII.

I'm thinking the throttle cables might be too short so I've blagged a cheap set of Bandit risers just in case my OEM ones are too long.

Surprisingly my local Yamaha dealer only charges 60p for a crush washer(sump plug type)

Fitted some el - cheapo levers from Hong Kong, feel a bit cheap,  look ok but for £18 delivered work out a fraction of the price of ASV or equivalent. Will see how they hold up.

Did the oil and filter change that I would have done previously had I realised I needed the crush washer sooner!

There was one more small glitch, I didn't realise until I started that the oil filter removal tool took a 3/8" fitting, but the socket set and torque wrench I have are both 1/2" fittings, so I had to go to a local shop and pay an exhorbitant amount (£7.15!) for an adapter :(

Still, once I'd done that it went pretty smoothly :thumbup
