Faffed around trying to get my soldering iron to work and finally managed to get a switched live feed wired in to the fuse box so that I can power my heated grips via a relay... just need to figure out where the hell I am going to mount the stupid bloody switch so that I can route and crimp the remaining wiring... damn nightmare as I'd rather not drill in to plastics...

Put cams in and tightened the cam shaft holders. Tensioner back in.  Engine cover on and carbs back on. Spark parks in. Missus shitty with me for hiding in the garage. Oh deep joy.
This week I've been mostly tinkering in the garage

Is it bad that I completely missed that typo in the first message and read it as Spark plugs regardless :P

Hehehe. I actually almosy pooped myself bcus when I tried parking spark no2, it seemed to take forever to wind in.  I thought the spark park thread in the head had stripped!  Massive sigh of relief as it finally tightened up to stop.

fazer 4.... accelerates much better now...?  no no fella... thats a BIG contradiction.... 400 and accelerate dont belong in the same sentence....especially if it's yellow (fart) silver/red (grandad) gunmetal (dont foccin ask) or black. it has to be a blue 6 or 1 for u to be able to truly post with utmost confidence :D
Just flapping about on this stagnant little pond on the outer rim of the internet.....yup....  :-))

Today I exacted a short to mid term Gun-gum and stainless welding wire repair on the popped collector plate.

Before:

During:

After:

That should hold it!

Hopefully until it's too cold to ride so I can set about removing the downpipes and welding them up without worrying about having her laid up. Or until I can afford the obvious upgrade to stainless pipes!

You have got it all wrong, it is the fastest of all colours Yamaha Racing; Red, Black, White, :) which means acceleration is in the M1 league. :eek  The M1 in blue is the slowest, as is the blue R1, blue fazer 1000 and blue fazer 600.  :rollin They even look slow in blue  :eek

Tapped the holes left by removing the ais & fitted the bolts , hardest part of the job was finding an 8mm tapered tap , luckily I was able to borrow one .

Fitted lever protectors on to stop my Oxford Muffs pushing against the levers. Seems to work. Also had new gold DID chain fitted. The last chain lasted a proxy 4500 miles. Expecting at least 12k from this chain.

Fit a scottoiler, it'll last at least twice as long next time.
Stop polishing it and ride the bloody thing!!
