I reckon it's going to be competing with KTM and Ducati, so it'll need to be good. The first Ducati Hypermotard was a damn fine bike, both in looks and grin factor. Unfortunately, the Japs seem to always pull their punches and get cold feet when it comes to grin factor on a bike like this. Could this one be different?

Looks as if it could be a really good allrounder if it was 'fazerised' with a top fairing and a slightly more plush seat, a nicer looking end can system, a larger fuel capacity would be useful from a paltry14 litres, but the spec numbers look good with light weight and reasonable power too i read that the max torque is at 8500 so it sounds like a 'zippy' engine too.  looks like a potential winner......

That bike is absolutely stunning, and my new favourite (was the Street Triple up until last week)! Wish I had the £7k to pull out for it.

Gotta say, I don't like the look of it much, and the speedo housing is awful! Still, each to their own. If it goes like stink and puts a grin on your face, thats all that matters really. :)

The more I look at this and believe all the Yamaha hype, I really might look at this bike. At 32 kgs lighter than my lardy FZ1-S it may be better?
Not available until September though, do they normally announce bikes you can't buy yet? and have any mags tested one yet?
