Carb balancing question
« on: 15 August 2012, 02:31:03 pm »
I'm going to be balancing my carbs soon but am a bit confused about something.

The Haynes manual and workshop manual both tell me to adjust the idle speed the adjuster but neither mention the throttle position sensor (TPS) in pointer2nulls guide.

The question is, do I adjust both, one or neither?

Do both. I always follow pointer2null's guide (or one very like it) and it always makes a big difference :thumbup

The Haynes manual probably has the TPS adjustment in a different section :rolleyes

I've done it now, t'was easier than expected. Does the TPS need setting back to 0 RPM once I'm done? There seems to be a small delay between reving the throttle and the engine picking up now.
