Givi Top Box and fitting kit.
« on: 29 April 2012, 02:57:58 pm »
Hi
I've been looking for one of these for ages and wasn't sure which one to go for and whether to go for new or second hand.
The second hand ones on evil-bay fetch silly money.
I settled in the end for a new V46 tech as I thought it would go well with my black gen 1.
Best price I could find was about £175 for the box and £87 for the fitting kit which comprised M5 plate and 348FZ arms.
Anyhow, I just was trawling through various other forums and came across a guy who had purchased the V46 tech box and fitting kit for his Honda from these folks in Italy for £200 inc delivery. It all arrived safely 5 days later.

So I have decided to take the plunge and have gone for it. Total cost for all 3 bits inc delivery was £195 which I thought was a result
I will update you when or if it arrives. So if any of you are thinking of doing the same, have a quick look at this site before buying.
Regards
Steve

Looks good. Only recently bought the Monorack and M5 plate elsewhere for mine but I now want to buy the backrest and brake light kit for my Givi E55 Maxia.
This site has them at a much better price than I've found elsewhere so I'll be watching out for your update with interest.
Let us all know how you get on...

Just a quick update on my purchase.
All went very smoothly and delivery was by UPS, this could be tracked from departure in Milan to arrival in UK depot etc and was spot on time ie I ordered the gear last Sunday and it arrived safely and in one piece today which I thought was quite acceptable given yesterday was a Bank Holiday.
For anyone who is thinking of doing this I would give it the thumbs up.
Getting brand new gear for ebay secondhand prices, I like very much and if the £ gets any stronger, all the better.
Fitting was very simple and I'm very pleased with the look.
Just need somewhere to tour to now!

Its funny you should mention buying from Italy I found these guys
http://www.ojmoto.it/
Ordered a set of Givi e41 side cases 249euros  arrived this weekend took about a week to arrive, but a problem free buy.
Easily  under cutting even the best eBay price I’ve seen .
