FZS600 Fazer / Seat reshaping
« on: 14 July 2018, 09:07:40 am »
Can any of you guys give me advice about my seat. I only weigh about 10 1/2st so not much meat on my arse. I can ride for about 25-30 mile but by then I have to stop because my ars e is hurting so much (yes I can hear you all laughing) but after this i can then only ride about 10 - 15 mile before it have to get off again - it's bloody annoying. Anyone tried reshaping the seat of having it done professionally ?

Rechecked my spring length and they are both at 324mm so according to the manual they are 5mm over limit. What recommendations would you lads give regarding replacement, go for std or different type of spring. I`m only a light weight jockey at 10.4 stone soaking wet. What suppliers have you used?. Thanks. .

Changing fork oil today, measured my springs, in the manual it says 1119mm. but mine are both exactly 1124mm. i could understand them being shorter but longer ??. its on a 99` fazer 600. any ideas ??.

Took my forks off my 99` 600 to do an oil change. taking them into work tomorrow to flush them out with some kerosine because their was a fair bit of black sludge in the oil. Will give the outers a bit of a polish up while i have them on the bench. I am going to try 15w oil in them as a lot of you lads on here seem to recommend that weight as giving an improvement on the front end which i had some concern about my front end used to feel like it was folding under some times going in to slowish corner anyway we shall see.

Hi Folks, can anyone suggest what method they have used to remove front wheel and forks from my 600.
I need to repolish the fork bottoms and change the fork oil but i cant jack the front up under the engine due to the down pipes being in the way. Any ideas gladly welcomed, ta.

Hi, can some one tell me is there a special screw driver / tool to adjust the pilot air screws on my 99 Fazer  600 while the carbs are on the bike. I can get to no. 1,2,4, but just can`t do no 3,which is above starter motor. Any ideas or tips please.
