Quick MOT question for you guys... is it a fail if the bars/controls touch the faring? On full lock left the throttle cables just about touch the faring because a little bit of the stopper thing is broken off.

If it's such a tiny amount can you not just move the bars so that it's a couple of millimetres away on full lock?

That's a good idea, I could just rotate the bars in the mounts a bit... didn't think of that one
Mate of mine welded a bit of metal on where the old bit broke off but that's snapped off too

I'm fairly sure that the lock-stops are part of the MOT test. I've heard stories of the repair superglue failing during the actual test.
I might be wrong and if not, you may be lucky and the tester will miss the fault.

The stopper is still there, just one side (about 1/3 of it) has broken off... I reckon moving the bars back will clear it, just make it feel a bit funny to ride to the MOT center.

clearence is part of the test, mostly clearence between tank and bars ,as already suggest, move bars to get a pass and then return to origanal position....or take a chance he may not spot it

Mine goes through touching the fairing due to a bent sub frame. The fairing is actually cracked due to this too.
The wording in the manual is for it to not interfere with the motion, if I remember correctly.
