2002 FZS1000 Ignition switch options?

Yesterday my 2002 came the closest yet to stranding me, in 14 years of ownership, when the ignition switch decided to fall apart on top of a cloud covered mountain. A roadside bodge got me home but the switch has had its day, I've certainly lost confidence in trying to fix it given my 9yo is on the back more often than not.

So I look for a spare. P/N is 5LV-82501-00-00 (2 way + 5 way female connectors), and there seems to be nothing out there unless I want to spill 500 notes out of the wallet  Even ebay has nothing second hand.

So in the absence of OEM, has anyone found an alternative or an aftermarket part that fits the yoke correctly and is as near as dam-it, that the wiring can be modified to make it work as intended. I'm handy with electrical work but would like something that is as neat as possible and does not shout "rat bike" when you look at it.
That said..... any options considered.

I assume you have a look on amazon/ebay, I suggest looking for a complete lockset (ign, tank, seat). The FZS dosent have imobilesation built into the barrell, its just simple plug and play.

So far I have exhausted those lines, but will keep checking in with them. Since I'm living in Germany the last few years I have also scoured all my EU neighbouring ebays and parts suppliers. These things really are like rocking horse poo 
I'm thinking of taking a longer look at the wiring diagram and working out what is required to "upgrade" to a lights on all the time setup. (i.e. 2003 onwards) I don't particularly like the idea but at least the simpler demands of the ignition switch would make the chances of finding an aftermarket one more likely.

The 2002-2003 FZS600 has the same switch listed for the South African model and the European should fit ad the top yolk did not change as worst a few washers or a bit of filing to fit the steering locking.
I think the early FZS600 should physical fit but may need a washer or two to get the lock to work, not 100% sure as I have never fitted one, but the top yolk mounting points did not change, but will need a little bit of rewiring and the inclusion of a change over relay if you  want the Hazzard lights to work in the park position.
The TDM85 and FZR600 Thundercat and many others share the same switch as the early FZS600.
I modified a 2002-2003 FZS600 wiring diagram and created two diagrams to use the the 6 wire switch to work with or without the Hazzards in the park position.

Unfortunately I have not been able to test it.Test the ignition in all position prior to fitting to ensure the colours correspond.
Some cheaper switches are not always correct on the colours

A word of warning:  the Black and Blue/Yellow from the loom wires are vital to get right on the ignition switch.The black and blue yellow should be only be an on off switch and not connected to anything else in the ignition switch when the switch is off, on or park
 Wrong and bike wont start and if you connect them to 12v it can take out the Neutral switch and  the side stand switch or blow fuses.
