Cheapest cartridge emulators, Debrix no more?

What are the options for cartridge emulators for the old FZS these days?
We put debrix emulators in the track bike but it appears they are no more? Can't get onto their website anymore so i'm assuming they are defunct.
Is gold valves the only other option apart from that?

So Fazer spares won't ever have them in stock.

Not sure what's happened to the Debrix site, hopefully it's only down temporarily, otherwise Racetech or YSS emulators may be your only (expensive) options.

The Debrix site has been down since i got my bike around 5 months ago , so sadly it seems to be an ongoing thing....
Postage is a killer from the US isn't it! But still cheaper than racetech....

Yes, the postage was always a killer, hence my Group buy of emulators to save $$$ back in 2013.

You could also try putting a Wanted post on the SV650.org forum as the Suzuki bods seem a lot more keen on the emus, someone might still have a pair for sale.

I'm in Oz so i'm probably stuffed either way!
But speaking of SV650 perhaps the SV650 people will be able to tell me the dimensions of standard  SV650 fork springs.  Saw some on gumtree and they are straight rate and from 41mm tubes....might be good in the fazer, but might also be not much of an upgrade at 0.7kg spring rate...$30 though so not bad.

Aftermarket SV650 springs would be an option, but as those bikes are some 20kg lighter than the FZS they'd need to be a fairly high spring rate.
Aftermarket Bandit 600 ones (if available there) could be a better good choice as they're heavy old buses.
For both my emu conversions I used standard springs from a 94-97 Honda VFR750 and then an early VFR800; although technically dual rate, from memory they averaged around 0.85kg which suited me fine.

have you thought about CBR springs? I used them and Thundercat fork tops adjustable but need a shorter spacer. See at the end of Kebab's topic as to how I did mine.

It seems for my body weight i'd want about 0.8kg or a bit more roughly?
I'm 68 kg without gear on.
I have just bought a 2013 R6 rear shock as well.  So get that with say a 650lb spring and i should be set.

You're about halfway between 0.80 and 0.85kg ... suppose it depends how comfortable you want things to be!  You should indeed try 0.8 kg first as its kinda hard to stick bits of spring back on again

A few years ago, some SV650 owners noticed these HD emulators suited 41mm diameter forks (and also noticed how cheap they were).
They found that they were a straight for 1st Gen SV650 forks.
In 2013 I discovered they were also perfect fit for Fazer FZS600 forks.
The 'debate' about whether the Emulator's preload spring is too firm (to accommodate the extra weight of Harley Davidsons) is IMO a non-issue, as backing it's preload off makes it ideal for much lighter bikes such as Fazers

Kebab19, that means that this emulators are great straight mod for Fazer? Have you or any forumriders tested it?


I am thinking about suspention tuning. Maybe USD maybe EMU... need more information. But start from EMU looks less expensive and need less time to install.

Kebab19, thank you for info. I found local springs manufactor with good prices and now plan to source for R6 shock and emu.
Kebab, do you have any info about suitable for FZS600 catridge forks? And I can't find (I know and I saw your posts about it) which R6 shock good for and what parts I need for setup. Please give me link.
