There's a fair next weekend nearish to me, but no sign of a Ferris wheel there yet.

I passed a yellow one on the way into Mossley the other day, it was quite camera shy and didn't hang about long enough for a snap :-(

I only ever fill up at morrisons, mainly because it's less than a quarter of a mile from work, Never once been asked to remove my lid, I did once have a jokey telling off from one of the girls for filling up while sat on the bike but never mentioned the lid, even with the camera on the side not even a second glance.
However, the tesco directly across the road refuse point blank to even turn the pump on, once while a guy from the group was stood inside with no lid on waving a £20 note under their noses! I wear glasses too and it's just a bit of a ball ache really.

Yeah, I've got to make a serious commitment to keep it really clean, but I don't want it to turn into a sunny weekend queen, it's a daily rider and like you if I can just stay on top of it I'll be really happy. Chrome or stainless headers would be a bonus though!
Have you not considered zinc plating the nuts you have. I seem to remember reading in classic m/c mech's there are kits available for Diy.
Now I like the sound of that! I'm going to look into it :-)

Can't leave them it's too irritating!
This is coming from someone who goes mad when someone's put sockets back on a rail in the wrong order, it's petty but I can't not do anything about it :-D

Soooooo, as the title suggests my indicators "flap" for the want of a better word when going over bumps.
There is also a vibration at certain revs that can be cured by holding the indicators still, I have the gist of what should be done from the hot poop guide, But for the life of me can't get the retaining clips to release them from the fairing, it feels like I'm going to break something, I can see the clip squeezing but the rest of the round part of the base doesn't release :-/
Has any one done a photo guide On this yet?
Other than that it's been brilliant!
James

Wow! The mrs clio is h1, Would have been straight in there!
Is the main beam still linked to the dip beam?
Also what's the light pattern like from the main beam side, is it not too dazzling for oncoming traffic?
Sorry for all the questions, just curious before I do the same on the other side on mine, I already get some drivers flashing me just for the dip beam hid.

Cool, I'll get them then, At the moment the main side is still halogen as the dip has more than enough light output for me.

I fitted my h7 kit on the dip beam but had to use one of the plastic washers from the packing to hold the bulb in place,
Is there a correct way to convert the bulb holder or the original fitting?

Bah! And just noticed that the two hose clips on the small diameter hose from the bottom of the radiator aren't level with each other, will have to sort that ;-)

Quite happy doing it, just not happy doing it weekly! Can't wait till the better weather, at least I'll get a month out of a good clean then :-) Seriously considering slowly dismantling it bit by bit each day off I get then deep cleaning the components before refitting with stainless fixings, serious dough involved in posh bolts though :-/

Haha! It's looking the worse for wear after a week commuting in the rain now, But there is something deeply medicinal comes from spending 3 hours cleaning a bike ;-)

True, there are always better deals to be had, those deals aren't always immediately available or close enough to view easily. I've gone down the route of buying cars and bikes from Ayrshire to Kent and although dirt cheap, have come with a whole host of issues.
I just wanted a nice local bike really, and for once in my life, the price wasn't an issue so much because the cash had come from a compo claim for a none fault bike accident in feb this year.
So in theory I never had the money before so I'm not going to miss it lol!

The guy was straight up, spent ages with me mithering, had a sit on about 6 different bikes, I have a bike mechanic mate who deals with him a lot and he echoed the same thing, might not be the cheapest one on the market but a good guy to deal with.
On the plus side with the sale of my drz I've only forked out £800 cash so I'm just going to enjoy it and hopefully keep it for a long time.
Cheers for all the different angles and advice on the topic, you've all been a great help.
James.
