I thought I'd try something different. My first bike was a Honda XL250S back in 1981 and since then all my bikes have been road bikes. So I thought I'd maybe get this for new adventures

Best of the Paris Dakar reps :)
Little tip mate take off the front and fork stanchion guard and check the swept area sitting at 12 - 3 O'clock for pits and small bits of crud. This area often never gets cleaned and the crud left can and will either tear the dust/oil seals and/or pitt the stanchion, both will cause leaks. USD forks are costly to replace oil/dust seals as specialist tools are required to do the job both safely and properly. ;)

Hey Gnasher, thanks for the great advice

Beg to differ, I find them neither difficult or requiring specialist tools.
TBH I find them easier than traditional forks.
