Title: Who wants a fight?
Post by: Deefer666 on 27 March 2014, 06:57:47 pm
Grrr shitty awful day made worse by my insurance company being cunts and not offering any help with a claim at all despite the other party admitting full liability. Oh, all of a sudden despite paying several thousand pounds a year to them for the business insurance including road risk for both Motorcycle Republic & Fat Maggot we are not insured? Oh I have policies & documents saying all my vehicles are insured? oh, but not insured on this occasion? WTF? All vehicles in mine or Laura's name and have been for years and appear on the MID but all of a sudden nothings covered? I don't totally understand it but it looks like the broker has fucked up and the underwriters are saying "Get Fucked, You're on your own!" SERIOUSLY, WHAT THE FUCK???????????????????????

Some fucker is gonna die, and it aint gonna be quick or clean.  >: >: >: >: >:

Nope, the way forward involves a trip to my insurance brokers with a blowtorch and a pair of pliers.

Oh I have policies & documents saying all my vehicles are insured

In that case im sure it will be sorted in your favour.

I have kept all of my past quotes showing a paper chase of NCD because I dont trust them should I move insurers

Need a lift to the brokers' office? I doubt you'd fit all of your tools of pain on the back of the FJ!!

The FJ is a tool of pain, I intend to do a burn out on the brokers scrotum.

it,s not good trying to sort anything out in these large companies, there is no one person to go for,? try finding a director on company search turn up at his house with a gallon and a match, I have never done this but apparently it works. so I have been told.

if the broker has messed up presumably he has professional liability insurance and presumably all your past premiums have been paid as a result of mis-selling?

You need to get it sorted or your premiums will rocket . Remember the question they ask "Have you ever had insurance cancelled?"

Hope the broker gets it sorted ASAP. If not, his pain is the right response :pokefun

Wonder what they would say if you asked for full backdated refund, as if they say you're not covered then they can't take money for it.

It gets better, this morning an Email from the broker comes through stating that "This policy does not cover Fat Maggot Clothing and nor would it be able to".

Yet on a Insurance certificate in front for the van reads "Persons entitles to drive: Any person in respect to Laura Layley's business as a T-Shirt Printer and for use for Social, Domestic, and Pleasure purposes."

I don't fucking get it! I have just rung them and now we are covered again? WTF?

Its times like this that they should bring back the "youth opportunity scheme".......take him outside and punch the living crap out of him......would make you feel a hell of a lot better  :)

There are soo many rules, regulations and exceptions for insurance brokers with their underwriters that it's ridiculous. So much random bureaucracy as well... also I do tend to get random issues where the support team for the company I work for randomly mis-advise customers on really stupid things because its a common response, but not the correct one (due to the random bureaucracy)

Thankfully I'm not a position where these sorts of stupid managerial mistakes give me a huge problem... most of the time...

I have had a revelation... I pay them thousands a year for something that might need but when I come to use the services I have paid for I am told I am not entitled, So the insurance industry must be a training ground for government!

Legally I think the broker would be liable.  You would be covered as you've gone to an insurer and purchased a policy.

I had something like this with my car, I bought the policy online and got confirmation email through but no docs.  When I phoned them a couple of days later it turns out that they had details of the quote and had received the payment but the policy itself had not been set up.  Had I been pulled for no insurance I'd have been ok as I had bought a policy, it's not my fault that they cocked it up.
