This is my generic guide rather than Fazer specific...

Nice and simple, cheers for that bud!  :)

I've just got to figure out why mine isn't working now, 4000 miles and still full.  :\

oops!

I've updated the article with images from the Fazer (bad photo's taken this evening after riding in the treacherous weather...)

If your scotty isn't working...
1.  is the delivery pipe filled with oil or air? if its air, then 'prime' the scottoiler.
2.  check the vacuum.  Drain that oil out back into the scottoiler bottle.  Whizz the flow adjuster to 10, and have a suck on the vacuum pipe and see if you see the piston inside the RMV moving.  If it IS, then something not right with your vacuum connection at the engine. If it ISNT - is there a kink in the vacuum pipe somewhere?

Your RMV could just be screwed... new one from scottoiler's around £40 ish.  But they are pretty simple devices with not a lot to go wrong.

If it's having trouble getting started you can stick a foot pump on the breather, give it a few pumps and the oil will start flowing.  I fill mine up from 1/4 full roughly every 4-5 days (100miles/day).

Got the vacuum sorted, the valve was jammed but a bit of work sucking and blowing sorted it. It's all good now!  :D
