Hello, i`m new to this forum and this week i bought my own Fazer 1000, can someone please post a picture how original shock looks like, i would like to compare it to the one which is fitted on my bike, just to be sure if it`s still original or upgraded to R6 shock.
thank you in advance!

Hi Luke, Hope you don't mind me hijacking your thread. Just wanted to mention I have one of the CORRECT Shocks sitting in my garage if anyone is interested.

Just an update the new 2016 kayaba r6 unit works spring rate is the same but the top bush needs swapping out for the older r6 one, I've had to have a press tool made to get these buggers out and as the race teams are buying newer bikes I need to move forward to these shocks when avaliable
Specs are the same body is different but means no grinding now

THE SHOCK BELOW WILL NOT FIT EVEN WITH A HAMMER

Like it :lol

Surely it must depend on the size of the hammer and the number of blows employed. I have a 2 kilogram hammer that's quite heavy and more importantly it's metric.

Perhaps I could buy a number of theses hammers and a number of the wrong R6 shocks and sell them as a kit.
