Gen 1 Fairing Hardware/Brackets?
« on: 21 March 2024, 11:42:15 am »

Hello I got a new to me Gen 1. I also bought these lower fairings pictured. Can anyone help me with what brackets/hardware I will need to mount them? Thank you. Also, did the gen 1 ever come from the factory with lower side fairings? I can't find any part diagram that lists them.

Hi Bigmouth,

Congrats on the new Gen1.
I’m afraid that I can’t help you with regard to what hardware you’ll need to fit your aftermarket fairings. However I can say that, to the best of my knowledge, the gen1 never came from the factory with fairing lowers. Yamaha did an official belly pan as an optional extra, but no official fairing lowers.

HTH. 👍

The fairing lowers will be an aftermarket accessory, quite probably made by Powerbronze or Pyramid. Both companies are still in business and might be worth contacting regarding the necessary brackets, or maybe some dimensions that would allow you to make your own maybe.
