Had a 2000 Pegaso 650 (old style, same Rotax engine and many bits as the BMW Funduro) before my current boxeye. I haven't got it any more because it got nicked, but wasn't totally happy with it anyway, although to some extent that is personal stuff (I found the upright position hard on my back, bars too wide for my narrow shoulders and the seat chafed). The worst problem, which didn't appear to be shared by other owners of the same model, was that the mirrors vibrated enough to be all but unusable (when I picked up the Fazer I almost stacked it on the way home because I was so entranced by being able to look at things behind me again...). That apart (OK, and it sounded decidedly agricultural), I was still quite fond of it. Performance was not spectacular but it would certainly sit on the motorway at a bearable middle-lane speed two-up, handling pretty nippy, good views in traffic. Survived an idiot dribbling a bit of diesel into the tank without needing rescuing (Morrisons pumps were confusingly covered in advertising, honest). Fuel economy a bit disappointing, no better than something with twice the power, although that may be to do with the wind-catching riding position as much as the lack of cylinders. Even though I seem to have written a list of complaints I'd certainly think they were worth putting on your list, and generally speaking I'd be happy to look at one again (or the newer one) if it wasn't my only bike and I was sure the mirrors were better. Cheap as chips, too.
