A good save indeed!

The only question is how come he lost it in the first place? I couldn't see any fault that he made, and road surface was good!

That corner seems to catch out a lot of people.

The rider left a comment on the vid:

"I dropped to 1st. When I came out of the corner and went back on the gas my torque was high and she started to slide"

Also said he was in a crossed up position as he was going for max lean angle...whoops.

I agree. Loads of videos on utube with bikes comin off that corner but why? It seems a bit of a hotspot for vid makers fotographers and bikers alike. People have hit the rails othher bikes/pushbikes there. Was that vid of the biker takin out 2 cyclists here aswell? Badd juju or bad skills?

It's a known nasty, a sharp hairpin. I think people do push a bit hard around it, and get caught out.

And yes, same corner as the cyclist crash too.

So he changed gear mid-corner!!! Enough said really.

All I see from watching that vid is him coming off the throttle some about 2-3 secs before the back starts to slide. Don't see a gear change... but when he gives it more throttle it fixes itself

I think he means he was in first gear for the corner and ended up with too much torque when exiting - possibly tried to give it a bit too much power a bit too early. Not sure that first is the best gear to be in since I usually find its not exactly the smoothest of gears - tbh though his bike his probably set up significantly better than mine :P

def no gear change mid corner the bike seems to die when he comes off the throttle just before the slide but no foot moemnt or clutch movement
