pressures for Michelin Road Pilot 3's
« on: 24 June 2012, 02:47:08 pm »
I bought some Michelin Road Pilot 3's for my Gen 1 fazers 1000.
The tyre fitter told me to inflate the front tyre to 38psi and the rear to 40psi - the reason being was that the rp3's have hard compound in middle of tread and soft on the shoulders.
The manual states 36psi for the front tyre and 39psi (solo riding) for rear tyre.
What pressures  should I use???
Thanks

I run 42 rear and 34 front as the front seems a bit skittish on 36.

36 front 40 rear....I think tyre pressures can be like suspension settings and  you have to go with what feels good for  you, your weight and any additional weight, riding style and road conditions all play a part in what pressures feel right. However, I'm no expert  and am always willing to try any advice I am given from a reliable source and see how it feels. ;)

36 / 38 - rear heats up quickly on 15/47 gearing  :) , so is probably running closer to 40 once warm.

Awesome tyres these - have especially enjoyed them with the rainy summer we're having here!

I always run 36/42psi cos I like pies.  Mind you, if the wife decides she wasn't to play, I increase the rear to 200 (bar)  :b
